Understood; I hear you. But do you agree that there is still alot of silt in the rivers? And as a man on the field how much does this old talk of fridge and stove really contribute.
Please take a drive up to Haleland Park, and see the amount of silt from the mountains present...and this is kina high up the Maraval river....as you move lower down to Fairways it gets worse.
It will take alot of work to clear them undoubtedly. This is why no one is to blame.

yes there is a lot of silt in the river and there is a lot of work to be done.... they are just making sure that if more rain comes it don't add to the mess but the real work would start maybe later down the year...
the ones who speak about fridges and stoves in the river and hillside development just needs to visit the areas and see for themselves that the landslides starts high up on the mountainside where there is no development! and they need to check out the sizes of the rocks that came thru little streams and caused real problems this incident was just a matter of having more rain than what the hills could manage but if some feel conformable blaming fridges and stoves I see no harm in that! what matters most is the reality of the situation ..........
