Jack Warner apologises to Panday
July 8, 2013 · By Staff Writer

(Trinidad Guardian) Faced with expulsion from the United National Congress (UNC), Jack Warner is now turning to his political guru, Basdeo Panday, with a heartfelt apology, but Panday has outrightly rejected it. Warner made the overture to Panday as the two men attended the wedding ceremony of UNC strategy officer Ken Emrith and Davica Persad at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya, yesterday.

Speaking to the Sunday Guardian on Saturday night, Warner said he was not ashamed to admit that Panday was right about Persad-Bissessar’s leadership style. “When I see him I will have to talk to him because a lot of the predictions he made about the prime minister were true,” Warner said. “He said the prime minister is not ready to lead. I was one of those persons who disputed and quarreled with him when he said that. I was even angry about it.”

Asked what he planned to say to Panday, Warner revealed, “I want to tell him that I am really very sorry because I think he saw much more than I could have ever seen and that was based on the level of his own political experience.” Asked if he planned to invite Panday to join his Independent Liberal Party (ILP), Warner said, “Anybody can be part of my political party. Mr Panday and anybody else.

“Mr Panday and everybody else is welcome, but I think in life one must admit when one makes a mistake and error. I admit that in my political judgement of the Prime Minister, Mr Panday was right and I was wrong.” Asked how he felt about Persad-Bissessar’s accusations that he was trying to bring down her Government by forming his own party, Warner responded, “There are some things that the Prime Minister says that I will not dignify by commenting on it.

“Some of the things she says tells me more and more that she has to refrain from being a prisoner of the cabal. I will not dignify what she says with a comment because my work for the party and the Government speaks for itself.”

Asked what it would take for him to return to the folds of the UNC, Warner said, “Nothing is cast in stone and I don’t have to make any judgement in that. What is evolving right now is not of my doing.

“I was rejected by the party that I helped to keep alive. Panday is the man who put me to Chaguanas West and Persad-Bissessar is the woman who took it away from me. I do not think that I want to say much more on this.” Saying he felt hurt and betrayed by the Prime Minister, Warner said, “I have nothing against Mrs Persad-Bissessar. My fight is with the cabal. That has always been and it continues to be. My fight is not only for Persad-Bissessar’s sake but it is for the country, for the party and for the government.”

When the Sunday Guardian told Panday that Warner wanted to apologise to him at the wedding, Panday replied “No, no, no, no. This is a wedding. I have come to a wedding, not to receive an apology.”

Asked if he would accept Warner’s apology, Panday snapped, “Accept what? I am at a wedding. Why has he chosen to interfere with my presence at a wedding? I have come at a wedding in a different frame of mind and so forth.”

Asked if he was approached by Warner if he would talk to him, Panday said he speaks to anyone.

“Remember I am the one who slept with the devil. I will talk to anyone.” What would he do should Warner ask him to join the ILP?

“Everyone knows that I have given up electoral politics,” he said. When told that Warner said he (Panday) had warned him about Persad-Bissessar, he smiled and remarked,”I also warned the country about lots of things.”

Same Panday de cabal throw out de party.

I said since even before January 2010, a woman can NEVER lead this country and that she was a puppet.

She so dumb she still trying to play this "mother of the nation" card, and playing victim "because I am woman".

Things to make anyone cringe.

My folks live in penal. Miss Prime Minister is our MP

I remember when she was canvassing for elections she put on a tall boots and was walking through our area. Because our road was in horrible condition. She eventually couldnt take it and hopped on the van tray.

She promised good roads, among other things to us.

Well she got her votes and never visited her residents again.

Roads in even worse conditions.
Residents hardly getting water. (Katwaroo trace)

For Christmas her whole entourage bypasses all the kids and residents of clarke road especially ramdharry st, teemul/naipalia street, digity street/ satnarine street/ wilson road. And the kids are left standing there hearing the music but she never comes...she passes straight.

It is a heartbreaking slap to the residents of penal. Her own residents she has forsaken.

We fed up !

Ask any penal/siparia resident when last they have seen kamla.

Im have my doubts about tnt having honest and hardworking politicians EVER.
So we need to adapt.
Politicians like jw to run the country and actually get things done and an opposition like the pnm to keep them in check. Throw enn the media to keep everyone honest.
Just my opinion

20 reasons to vote Jack
By Kevin Baldeosingh

Story Created: Jul 11, 2013 at 9:05 PM ECT

Story Updated: Jul 11, 2013 at 10:06 PM ECT

(1) Drains. Jack will build drains throughout Chaguanas West, since he has more experience in the gutter than any other politician. This project will also provide more venues in which to fling Kamla supporters, or for them to sleep in after they leave the rumshop, or to use for the Treasury.

(2) Race. Callers to PNM radio talk shows will have to say Indians not racial toward black people, only toward poor black people.

(3) Tickets. Whenever there is a major sporting event being held anywhere, Jack will ensure that constituents can buy more tickets than there are seats. He will also pay off all traffic tickets for persons charged for driving while drunk, drinking while drunk and, if he is elected, voting while drunk.

(4) Reconciliation. A victory for Jack will ensure that he and Kamla Persad-Bissessar are in the same place, since when he resigned Kamla said, “Mr Warner took the high ground”: and this is her favourite kind of ground.

(5) Aid. If any disaster ever hits Chaguanas West, constituents are guaranteed to get eight per cent of all relief contributions, just like Haiti got $60,000 from the $750,000 in earthquake relief given by FIFA to Jack.

(6) God. However, since Jack is a Christian who the Maha Sabha has made a Hindu who is outraged at an election held during Ramadan, constituents can rest assured that, once Jack is elected, no disasters will hit Chaguanas West, including floods, tornadoes, and the Integrity Commission. After all, “Vox populi, vox Dei, et Dei, et Dei”.

(7) Property. If elected, Jack will teach people how to own property when they want a loan or payments for use, and how to have it owned by an international sporting body when the property has to be developed or pay taxes.

(8) Economy. And since the Court of Arbitration for Sport last July described him as “prone to an economy with the truth”, Jack can start a new economic initiative in Chaguanas West by selling truth, which will be defined by whoever can give the most advertising dollars to the Trinidad Guardian.

(9) Doubles. Chaguanas West will become the Mecca of doubles, since Jack will institute surveillance to collect data on who eating doubles and with how much pepper.

(10 ) Crime. A Jack victory will ensure that more crime in Chaguanas West will be reported in order to ensure that less crimes are committed, which was his rationale for banning crime statistics last year.

(11) Love. After Jack resigned from the UNC government, his opponent Khadijah Ameen said, “There are people who love him dearly”, which may mean that the people who love her are less expensive to maintain.

(12) Media. Since Jack and Kamla fell out, columnists who before argued that Jack’s lack of ethics was the worst kind of politics are now arguing that a victory for Jack would represent a new era for T&T politics. So commentators’ brains have already expanded thanks to Jack, since they can now hold two or more contradictory ideas without any strain at all.

(13) Liming. More people will start meeting to plot against the government, or have intelligent conversation, which is the same thing.

(14) Trains. In order to help reduce traffic woes in Chaguanas West, Jack will build a $30 million train-line at a cost of $800 million. This will have the additional benefit of providing a gravy train for party financiers.

(15) Communications. A vote for Jack will ensure that political leaders hire effective communications specialists, so they won’t have to say that someone was an embarrassment to their party one week and, a few days later, that they regret his leaving the party; or that someone is their friend because he is their enemy’s enemy one day, and have their MPs the next day scrambling to insist that that doesn’t mean they would friend with him.

(16) History. Students will no longer have to spend long hours studying this subject, since yesterday is yesterday and has nothing to do with today.

(17) Sleep. Mosques will now have their calls to prayer earlier and louder, ensuring that constituent are early to rise and so get healthy and wealthy like Jack, if not wise to him.

(18) Garbage. Jack will ensure prompt collection of rubbish in Chaguanas West. Not only will he supply bins free to all constituents, but he will have his son’s nephew’s aunt’s husband’s brother start a trucking company which will get the contract to collect the garbage, which Jack will supply himself every time he opens his mouth.

(19) Visas. People applying for US visas will have a better chance of getting one, since Jack won’t be using his.

(20) Education. More children will pass their exams, since a vote for Jack is a vote for a smart man.

Kamla claims Jack did nothing for Chag. West...that's all well and great...entitled to opinion

But what has SHE and her other MP's done for their area besides give out coffee cup with her face on it?
