Bulletin#1
Date: Thursday 04th of November 2010
ISSUED AT:01:02PM
MODERATE TO INTENSE THUNDERSHOWER ACTIVITY OVER
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO DURING THE COURSE OF THE
AFTERNOON
Trinidad and Tobago should receive moderate to
intense thundershower activity during the course
of the afternoon today: 70 -80% chance for
Trinidad and 50-60 % chance for Tobago.
The synergies between the lower and upper levels
of the atmosphere over Trinidad and Tobago are
positive for large cloud development.
Rainfall accumulation during the rainfall
activity this afternoon could yield 50-75
millimeters for Trinidad and 25-50 mm for
Tobago.
The rainfall activity over Trinidad in particular
could prove to be very disruptive as it produces
moderate to severe cases of street /flash
flooding. Small river courses receiving the
rainfall run-off will become inundated. Land
slippage/slides are strongly likely in parts of
Trinidad.
The occasional Lightening strike and burst of
gust with wind speeds exceeding 50km/hr will
attend thundercloud activity.
Citizens are advised to be vigilant and cautious
as they conduct their daily activities given
forecast weather conditions. Be alert to any
electrical discharges from thundercloud activity.
Adopt measures which would preserve life and
property.
WE STRONGLY UNDERSCORE THAT TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
IS NOT UNDER ANY TROPICAL STORM THREAT, WATCH OR
WARNING AT THIS TIME.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services is
closely monitoring conditions and will issue
another bulletin if the situation warrants.

Bulletin#
Date: Tuesday 23rd of November 2010
ISSUED AT:12:46PM
THE ITCZ INTERACTING WITH A LOW LEVEL TROUGH IS
AFFECTING WEATHER CONDITIONS MOSTLY OVER
SOUTH/CENTRAL TRINIDAD.
Trinidad, mostly the southern and central areas,
has been experiencing cloudy conditions with
intermittent moderate to heavy showers over the
last two hours. These conditions are due to the
ITCZ interacting with a low level trough east of
the twin island republic.
There is a high probability that over the next 3
to 4 hours the above areas would continue to
experience intermittent moderate to heavy showers
with a moderate probability of widely spaced
thundershowers. Street and flash flooding along
with gusty winds in excess of 40 km/h are highly
likely in heavy showers and thundershowers.
Other areas of Trinidad, and to a lesser extent
Tobago, have a good chance of being affected
similarly during the forecast period. Given the
forecast conditions and previous conditions,
river levels of moderate carrying capacities
could become overwhelm.
Citizens are therefore advised to be vigilant and
cautious as they conduct their activities. Be
alert to any electrical discharges from
thundercloud activity and adopt measures which
would preserve life and property.
WE STRONGLY UNDERSCORE THAT TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS
NOT UNDER ANY TROPICAL STORM THREAT, WATCH OR
WARNING AT THIS TIME.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services
is closely monitoring conditions and will issue
another bulletin if the situation warrants.
