Amazon has the watch currently for US $79.98 . Even at an inflated exchange rate of TT$7.00 to US $1.00 this watch now costs TT$559.86 rounded up to TT$600.
You're asking an additional TT$1000 to cover "customs, duty, shipping and obviously a percentage profit" and that my friend is ridiculously inflated
And please don't use "this watch is being sold all over locally for $1800+" as a justification .
Local retailers are well known for "digging out your eye" . The only reason your particular post jumped out at me is because I saw this particular model locally, listed for $1500 dollars from a well known dealer upstairs Town Centre mall
Without any haggling he offered it at a discounted price of $1200
I decided to bring it in myself and paid less than $900
While I'm not suggesting you sell your item at cost, lets be fair it can be had for less and from vendors who are able to offer warranties etc
I apologize for the diary length post and after all is said and done
Good luck with your sale

Bro, add customs, duty, shipping and obviously a percentage profit... this watch is beign sold all over locally for $1800+

you obviously missed the point of his post. The issue is not about how expensive the watch is. The issue is that a US$80 item is being sold for TT$1600.konartis wrote:ismithx wrote:also, I was able to bring in a 90USD watch for 900TTD all in all. to charge 1600 for a watch like that is just wrong...
If u have to complain about a 900$TT watch....this thread isnt for u....we not debating prices here.

It would be no different if someone was selling a Rolex Oyster Perpetual that retails for US$5500 for TT$110,000. The markup is still too high.
