Please keep sales out of this thread;
Btw brought in one similar, different colour through the skybox, I paid 950 in total- that's watch and customs clearance.

Not trying to be a dick here but I made my recommendation based on a variety of factors...

Amazon has the watch currently for US $79.98 . Even at an inflated exchange rate of TT$7.00 to US $1.00 this watch now costs TT$559.86 rounded up to TT$600.

You're asking an additional TT$1000 to cover "customs, duty, shipping and obviously a percentage profit" and that my friend is ridiculously inflated

And please don't use "this watch is being sold all over locally for $1800+" as a justification .
Local retailers are well known for "digging out your eye" . The only reason your particular post jumped out at me is because I saw this particular model locally, listed for $1500 dollars from a well known dealer upstairs Town Centre mall

Without any haggling he offered it at a discounted price of $1200
I decided to bring it in myself and paid less than $900

While I'm not suggesting you sell your item at cost, lets be fair it can be had for less and from vendors who are able to offer warranties etc

I apologize for the diary length post and after all is said and done
Good luck with your sale

Well said.
That guy needs to realise this is a thread for watch enthusiasts. We are not going to fall for all that sheit talk. He better off trying that on the general population.

you obviously missed the point of his post. The issue is not about how expensive the watch is. The issue is that a US$80 item is being sold for TT$1600.

It would be no different if someone was selling a Rolex Oyster Perpetual that retails for US$5500 for TT$110,000. The markup is still too high.

There are watches for less than 900 TTD that look good as well; it's not always about the high end

I didn't miss his point...we not debating prices...we post the watches we have or like, not what is shud cost and argue that its cheaper....anyone into business and importing goods knows there are alot of losses at customs, marked up taxes, then competitive retailers etc so prices may seem high after conversion but thats just ur one product....mass importation is different.

Guys when buying a high watch, don't buy in trin.
Save ur money then kill three birds with one stone. Go a lil short holiday (St martin ect) and buy a watch in duty free or what ever airport you fly out of. You will get duty free prices, plus wear it on your hand when coming through customs, thereby you avoid paying Trin customs . Same with gold ect.

So for money spent you get Holiday + duty free+ no trin customs

I did and know of other guys that brought in some really high costing watches, like over $30k tt.
