This guy got it right early last week (sunday actually) . Lets see if he is right again
Quick Note On The Possibility Of Another Tropical Cyclone Forming Next Week In The Caribbean:
The Caribbean may not be done with tropical cyclones after Tomas departs during Friday as a majority of the global model guidance are hinting at another tropical cyclone spinning up in the Caribbean next week.
The latest GFS model forecasts that this potential system will develop over the central Caribbean around Tuesday and roam around the Caribbean for the following week or so potentially affecting Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba.
The UKMET model, which goes out to about 6 days, also forecasts a tropical cyclone to develop over the central Caribbean around Tuesday.
The European model, which goes out to about 10 days, forecasts the development of a tropical cyclone also in the central Caribbean on Tuesday, however, it forecasts this system to dissipate over the northern Caribbean by about next Friday.
The Canadian model forecasts the development of a tropical cyclone just off of the coast of northwestern Colombia on Wednesday and forecasts this system to track west-northwestward towards the western Caribbean by next Saturday.
Finally, the NOGAPS model forecasts the development of a tropical cyclone just south of Jamaica around Wednesday and forecasts this system to track northwestward and be over the western Caribbean to the southwest of Jamaica next Thursday.
So, it goes without saying that the Caribbean will be the place to really watch next week for the development of a possible tropical cyclone. This is something that I will be watching out for and will keep you all updated.
