Yea it got hit on the head...my friend swim with it an try an help it an then my other friend working to help it recover...on another note, tarpon bite hot these days...went 22 for 31 monday evening...also got to check out this monster...

Much more so out of the reproductive pool, but i'm guessing it wasn't specifically targeted as is the chance when deep dropping. Grouper don't take well to release in those depths either, eyes pop out and organs get crushed when brought up fast on those commercial winches, venting doesn't really help much in those cases.

Seems calm, paddled around Gasparee yesterday with 2 other guys on this thread. Only saw some difficulty around fantasy island. Unfortunately no fish worth posting (grunts and crappo all released, had some tarpon following me after winds bay but they didn't bite my rapalla or a strip of ballyhoo I had on my 2nd rod). Hoping to make another paddle tomorrow but in south instead.

That's a nice cobia, last trip we got a couple ones mixed in with the remoras on the freelines. I've always wanted to cut up a remora and see if it tastes like cobia since they're in the same family ( Echenidae) but I can never get past their heads lol.

It weighed 46 lbs and it took a dead eel( the small one that knots itself up when hooked). It refused the cut bait and live Joshua we pitched at it when he showed up behind the boat but instantly grabbed the dead eel, lol.

Nice and yeah, one of the go to cobia baits in the gulf coast in the us for sightcasting is a black 10" hogy which imitates an eel, seems they love those things. Works good for barracuda as well.

yup..very calm, only got a lil rough around half 3 when we where on our way to shore.......went out to by the rigs them close to Venezuela..... caught 25 salmon, varying sizes. 10 corvettes, not big ones and 1 black tipped shark, 1 ling ling...1 cutlass fish....

Went out on a boat from Felicity side on saturday...board the boat about 7am and came back in around 3pm..

Caught a few nice reds, some salmon and loads of stingray big small medium..lol..had us busy..and some sea snakes..

not sure what bank they boatman went..was outside POS near to Patos and Carrera..little bit disappointed but atleast we ketch something to carry home..will post a pic of the catch after we gave some fish to the boatman n some friends around felicity..

We were near them rigs too whole day, plenty salmon bust away too, fish bite real greedy and fast yesterday......
