Fish finder rig with from jetty/rocks.

Pyramid or breakaway sinker on beach.

15-20 lb line on at least a 8' rods.

Most of those smokers are caught on that major ledge running from outside monos straight down along the north up to corozal.

got a fresh 2lb halibut lastnight
pan seared with some coconut milk
about 3 mins cook time a side
tasted awesome

I though those were cold water fish, supposed to be real nice

Dunno bout halibut but we have caribbean solefish.
Here's some more food fish, had a backlog of fish in the freezer from march :)

Need bigger 4x hooks for the big ones even then this one it bent all the hooks straight and the leader broke as it got gaffed, we got lucky, it ran at the boat not away, if it did probably would have lost it.

fish prices starting to fall
kings and carite was 20 a lb in sea lots market most of this week

We used 1 J in the front and 3 trebles, not cutlass fish something else live which we keeping secret :P

Down the Islands, Saturday evening into Sunday morning. The reds pull nice, had some salmon around as well, and some other mix fish, grunts and striped gouette.
