AMD back at again, killing Intel.
Note there are only 2 laptops (Asus tuf with 4800H is the other model) so far running the new AMD 4000 series. More to come from other manufacturers.

AMD's comeback story is amazing, I won't doubt if Apple decides to go full AMD in their next round of Macbook Pros

crystal disk and acronis are good software. just be sure to have SMART enabled when checking the drive and if you selling - be sure to do a full format before selling.

inform buyer that the drive is used and no warranty....caveat emptor

Crystal disc info doesn't test anything on the drive... It reports what is recorded in SMART

I Could build a 30-40gb file and rip it thru the drives, once that write and delete along with the Smart test, i should be fine enough i think

I know it don't really make sense since a desktop can't really move far from the wall outlet, but who did it better?

Didn't know which thread to post this.

Witcher 3 free on PC, only if you already own it on PS4 or Xbox.
If you already have it on PC you can get a free copy to give someone else.
You getting the version you already have - (You can't get the GOTY PC version if you own the base version)

Offer ends 23rd June and you need the GOG client.

Without knowing how much you want to spend on a GPU or what you intend to use it for besides the 3 monitor setup.
I would recommend an Nvidia 1650 super
You will need at least one displayport to HDMI adapter.

1650 super should suit your needs... I'm recommending Nvidia because I read people still complaining about AMD GPU drivers.

If you are particular to AMD, anything from the rx560 up should suit your needs. The older amd cards use a lot more power than the modern selection of cards.

Just look at the ports available and get the appropriate adapters (or search to see if they are included in the package)

I'm partial to gigabyte, Msi, sapphire(only AMD) cards. Maybe Asus. I usually steer clear of evga and XFX

Guys , I am saving up for cyber monday in November. I am upgrading from an rx480. What is the best bang for your buck GPU to run 1440p? Considering only existing GPUs, not those soon to be released, and I do not have brand preference. Oh mobo is x570 and the CPU is 3600x

i'm thinking age and bottlenecks...i know its just to push 3 monitors but 1650 super is not overkill?

Overkill for 3 monitors... Maybe
But that is the latest bang for buck offering from Nvidia currently.

While lower end models from both AMD and Nvidia can work, they are a generation or two behind. More so to the detriment of AMD their older cards while comparable to gpus of today use a lot more power.
Nvidia and their confusing naming scheme and marketing practice, used a similar name to sell two different gen architecture; The "super" being the latest one.

What would you recommend given what is available.

I've used that memory before with no problems... It is decent. Heat spreaders are a little tall
