saw the video, dont know how u even avoiding a hit like that unless you rolling with armed security or you always prepared to get out of it and is a bess driver.

Being a bess driver still couldn't help there nah. If you or your security armed shoot through the windshield at your attackers and then manoeuver your way out. Sadly she had no chance

If ppl want to kill you, sadly there is nothing you can do to stop that. Unless u know u at war with them and kill them first or inject so much pins and badness in dem that they second guess killing you

This morning's murder hit hard. And all before local elections. Family feud or not, justice will be delayed given the non-existent court system in Trinidad and Tobago, where it takes decades for criminals to be tried and convicted, law-abiding citizens are delayed in obtaining the privilege to arm and protect themselves and their families, and the politicians continue to argue over who wearing which watch.

I still don't understand how Trinbagonians remain blinded by race politics. Its destroying every remaining fiber of the country.

May Ms. Allison De Leon rest in eternal peace.

Honestly, I would have taken my chances and run straight through them. She may have still gotten hit but would have had a better chance if citizens were allowed to carry long arm guns in their vehicles - 20- or 12-gauge. They are super effective.

Intruders Kill Husband trying to protect wife

A Central Bank employee was shot in the head by intruders who broke into his family's home on Thursday night.

Darren Nandlal, a 32-year-old financial examiner, was in a bedroom at his Orangefield Road, Carapichaima home when the masked men forced themselves inside at around 7.10pm.

A police report stated that two men, one with a gun, entered the downstairs apartment where they found Nandlal's 80-year-old father-in-law.

Police said the men shouted, "where is your daughter?"

The elderly man's daughter, 35-year-old attorney, was in an upstairs apartment with Nandlal.

Police said the elderly man struggled with one of the intruders, while the second man walked upstairs.

The report stated that Nandlal's wife heard a rattle on a door on the western side of the house and went to check on it.

The woman, police said, spotted the masked gunman and ran to her husband, who was inside a bedroom.

The report stated that the gunman attempted to enter the bedroom but Nandlal pushed the door against him.

The intruder fired one shot hitting Nandlal in the head.

He died at the scene.

Nothing was taken from the house.

Stupid question, if you have proper locks and burglar proofing, can people still break into your house?

yeah if they really want to they can but if you have proper thing it will take them longer and give you time to get police or neighbours or friends to intervene

men can't run up in your house just so

but realistically if they coming for you...unless you rolling around with armed security everywhere ....they gonna get you

because you could have the most secure house but you still hadda enter the gate and leave it

For run of the mill burglaries they tend to hit the softest target in the neighborhood so these this are effective deterrents at making your house harder to enter than your neighbor's. If it's a planet hit then nothing will stop them short of military grade armoring. I know a contractor living on my side who built his entire mansion with two layers of foundation blocks back to back and filled with reinforced concrete. People out there know what their expecting

The staff notice that went out to CBTT employees contained significantly different details to what the press put out.
