Don't think you can buy direct from store unless you're in the US, afaik anyway.

yea it's in CAN currency and you still have to add tax i believe also. Best bet is US Store.

You might have minor issues ranging from quiet speaker to poor mic performance (some issues were fixed in hardware revisions) but beyond that it's a superb device. First thing you will notice is the screen colors are a bit dull but text is sharp.

And def buy a case. I normally just use a skin but it doesnt take falls nicely. I got this:

u guys got anything major as yet?

Google Play Services 4.3 Update Being Pushed Out Now

It looks like Google Play Services has just gotten a new update to pave the way for some of the new improvements for the Play Games app, as well as some new APIs, some revamped APIs for the ones that were already in place, and as always some bug fixes or fine tuning to smooth things out. This update, which is Google Play Services version 4.3 is in the process of rolling out at the time of publication, and comes after Google had announced that they would putting out an update for the services just this morning.

You probably already know about the Google Play Games features that are coming in the latest update for that particular app. Cross platform interaction, and also a new feature called game gifts were added to the app, and this new update to Google Play Services gets it in line with those new features. For developers, the update to Play Services brings new APIs, which include Drive APIs, Google Analytics APIs, Tag Manager APIs, and Address APIs. Google’s idea was to take all of these new APIs and make them as easy to work with as possible for developers, and adding them into Play Services is the best way to do that. With the version release of this Drive API, developers will now be able to access handy new features like pinning files and changing notifications.

With the Tag Manager and Analytics APIs, developers will now be able to more easily track usage stats for their apps like what app features are being used most frequently, and changing small things about your app in a moment’s notice without the need to send out an update to Google Play, for example, changing the color of an element within the app. Lastly within this new update, the Address API is brand new, and now allows developers to get an address for any reason they might need it without having to ask for the specific location of a users device. Think about how you might fill out a form for the delivery of a package. The new address API will now allow the user to select a certain address by way of a user interface component, which auto fills the entire form for them so developers no longer have to rely on location data and the actual location of a user to proceed. The update is being rolled out gradually.

Google announces Android Wear

Sharing what’s up our sleeve: Android coming to wearables

Android Wear: Information that moves with you
Today we’re announcing Android Wear, a project that extends Android to wearables. And we’re starting with the most familiar wearable—watches. Going well beyond the mere act of just telling you the time, a range of new devices along with an expansive catalogue of apps will give you:

Useful information when you need it most. Android Wear shows you info and suggestions you need, right when you need them. The wide variety of Android applications means you’ll receive the latest posts and updates from your favorite social apps, chats from your preferred messaging apps, notifications from shopping, news and photography apps, and more.

Straight answers to spoken questions. Just say “Ok Google” to ask questions, like how many calories are in an avocado, what time your flight leaves, and the score of the game. Or say “Ok Google” to get stuff done, like calling a taxi, sending a text, making a restaurant reservation or setting an alarm.

The ability to better monitor your health and fitness. Hit your exercise goals with reminders and fitness summaries from Android Wear. Your favorite fitness apps can give you real-time speed, distance and time information on your wrist for your run, cycle or walk.

Your key to a multiscreen world. Android Wear lets you access and control other devices from your wrist. Just say “Ok Google” to fire up a music playlist on your phone, or cast your favorite movie to your TV. There’s a lot of possibilities here so we’re eager to see what developers build.

I like Paranoid Android cuz it takes everything I like about stock and expands on it....like the notification bar, some built in customization options etc.....all roms do that but I like the simple way PA does it  plus i dont get any weird problems like force closing systems apps and processes.

i only tried slimkat to see how the built in menu transitions work....but it gets old pretty fast :/ RAM usage was a bit high for the 2 days i used it....i didnt get time to dig through all the settings.

still yet to try carbon rom....i'll give u guys a breakdown of all the roms i tried 2mrw when i get some time.....

^nice! Looking forward to that.
Same here. PA approach recently is to make it as straightforward as possible. I just wished they had a holo light theme though.
