Video Of Strange Pink Anomaly In The Sky in Tunapuna Near Trinidad

A video that was taken by Rodney McLean on Thursday, October 31st, 2019, around 1:00 pm In Tunapuna, near Trinidad, shows a strange anomaly in the sky. Some skeptics have speculated that this could be something called a “Lenticular cloud,” although this anomaly does not fit many of the characteristics.

In fact, in various internet threads, alleged experts claiming to be meteorologists have identified the anomaly as other types of clouds, many times with conflicting theories



One Redditor suggested that this strange anomaly could have been caused by rising smoke that is generated by burning off chaff in sugar cane fields in preparation for harvesting. The poster claimed to have seen a similar anomaly in the sky in Maui, and believed this to be the explanation.

In the video, the strange pink orb can be seen floating in the sky, among other clouds that look perfectly normal. Anomalies occur in the sky all the time, and in many cases, there are some very simple explanations behind the phenomenon. However, in this case, none of those simple explanations seem to meet the mark. This occurrence is just too strange and unlike normal cloud formations seen in the sky.

There were many independent recordings taken of the strange event, but the short video below provides the best look.



This video was filmed in Trinidad, in an area known as Tunapuna, which is located between St. Augustine, Tacarigua and Trincity. Tunapuna. Tunapuna is the largest town between San Juan and Arima and is a very important economic and cultural center for the region.

Whatever happened here this week, it is certainly very strange, and it is good news that people were able to capture some footage of the rare occurrence because it is unlikely that anyone believes them or truly be able to understand what this looked like without seeing for themselves.

I was more interested in your CGI claim than the usual cap cloud explanation.

I take it that you're a video effects artist and you're challenging me. I'm not qualified in computer generated imagery, but there are other factors that can easily point that this is BS. Other qualified people who studied the subject in school can likely point out the motion tracking, shaky camera over saturated illumination of the clouds, etc.

As explained above the story has no traction on any reputable news source, Google yields a few buzzfeed type websites that when followed has no actual report or substance to the sighting. No alternate confirmation reports, videos, photographs, nothing from the 1.3 million other people who live in Trinidad; at least half the population would have seen something at that altitude, no Met Office reports, no university scientists explaining what is seen. It's just the hallmark of classic CGI buzz trolling, regurgitating the video on obscure websites and forums to attempt to get hits for marketing and data mining purposes.

Another reddit thread https://old.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/com ... puna_near/ has users from Trinidad who is also calling it as bs, and it's so obvious. And finally, i have seen all of Captain Disillusion's videos and it's easy to tell just from the camera motion. Here's a similar video where he explained all the the social media phenomena of sharing and reporting a fake video, as well as the details on how it was CGI. In that video also stars a 2 second clip that used to float around the internetz about 2008 claiming it was a UFO seen at Store Bay Tobago, or Haiti, or wherever else. You must have seen it. See if you can spot it. (@ 4:53)
