Guys , just asking to keep an eye out for a Stolen MacBook pro. Was stolen out of my van at evolution fitness this morning

You got serial numbers or anything like that?
Also file a police report, they might laugh at you, but is a theft nonetheless

Everything is social media these days so you should be able to lock it down or locate it as soon as the idiot connects to the Internet.

The main Evo carpark..was parked close to the white wall in direct view of the office..cameras weren't working so got nothing on who did it.
Tried tracking..it's not.online yet to verify a location
I'll get the serial numbers and post it

Gosh the gym cameras is a waste. Try the restaurant camera system.

You can use “Find my Mac” to locate the device when it comes online and also lock it and display a message to whoever has it or erase it to remove any personal data.

Yeah you just have to wait until it connects to WiFi unless they scrap it for parts but did you have a password on it ?

The perpetrator(s) will attempt to sell the Mac Pro to an unsuspecting person looking for a deal.

Not everybody will use it to go "public" internet online .

VPN etc. :D

fresh hard drive and all them find my mac apps useless !

I used it to find a MacBook Air and iPad already, but it has to be setup properly and online, it helps if all devices using the same iCloud account.

Two factor authentication helps a lot too.

A friend lost 2 iPhones 6 last week - stolen in a house invasion .

Police friend ( not RS ) already have a plan in action .
