Female Drivers clock higher speeds in radar traps says cops.....

Seventy-two motorists were issued fixed penalty notices for speeding, by officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch and North Eastern Division during separate speed exercises this week.

On Tuesday along South Trunk Road, South Oropouche, 42 tickets were issued to motorists.

The speed limit along South Trunk Road is 80kph, yet the highest speed recorded for the duration of that exercise was 144kph by a female driver in a Honda CRV motor vehicle.

On Wednesday, North Eastern Division (NED) officers issued 30 speeding tickets to motorists along the Lady Young Road, Morvant and the Priority Bus Route in the vicinity of the Aranguez Savannah, San Juan.

The highest speed clocked during this exercise was also by a female driver in a Hyundai Santa Fe motor vehicle at 110kph, in a 65kph zone along the Priority Bus Route.
