Watched the U19 match between Australia and India Sat night. India had two bowlers who consistently were in the mid to high 140s Km/h. Surprising to say the least and they hustled the Aussies throughout.
India also put a sound cut tail on them by 100 runs to boot.

West Indies captain Jason Holder says planning has already begun for the ICC World Cup qualifiers in March, as the Caribbean side looks to book their spot in the 2019 one-day showpiece in England.

The schedule for the much-anticipated qualifiers was released by the International Cricket Council yesterday, with West Indies installed in Group A along with Ireland, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea and the winners of the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 tournament from February 8-15 in Namibia.

“We see this as a very important tournament,” the 26-year-old Holder said of the March 4-25 campaign in Zimbabwe.

Those qualifiers tailored so that the biggest 4 fish (Ireland, WI, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe) don't get knocked out early.

2nd U19 WC running the junior WI team embroiled in a spirit of the game scenario.
Last time out was the Mankad this time its a different law being tested.

They appealed a hand ball when the SA batsman handed them back a ball that was for all intents and pourposes dead without being dead. 3rd umpire had no choice but to give the batsman out.
http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/ ... most-100-s

Even Ian Bishop who supported them last time with the Mankad doesn't support this one.

Benn bowls well and takes wickets when he's in form, if you want to look at waste, watch tino best lol, and i say that with the utmost respect for his work ethic. I've never seen someone work that hard for so little reward, he should have been spending more time in the nets than the gym. I think that's a big problem all round in today's cricket.
I think that was as low as you can go wrt that U19 incident, and from the skipper to boot.

Pakistan whitewashed by NZ in the ODI series and SL losing to Bangladesh giving Bangladesh thier largest ever ODI margin of victory. Given that Zimbabwe also beat SL in the last match in that tri series I think the Lankans were lucky to have made the automatic eight team spot for the WC next year.

This U19 WC pretty enthralling. I am enjoying the action. Some of those nations have some exciting players to look out for. Was also pleasantly surprised to see an Indian skipper the Aussies.

India's last 20 tests were all played at home except for 1 series of 3 matches in Sri Lanka which also offers sub continent conditions.

This series in SA is showing their ability to adapt (or lack thereof) to a completely different type of pitch and conditions.

WI of the 1980s and Australia under Waugh/Ponting basically went everywhere and beat everybody. That's what made them great teams.
