Coming from a former employee at TTTL i could echo the views of the respondents nevertheless, the rav 4 is tour best choice in the lineup also consider when purchasing korean units, parts outsourcing is a bit of a challenge as there arent much dealers in korean oem and aftermarket parts and consider the realiability when shopping around. Price would always be an issue however you cant put price on quality....something worth considering

I totally agree with kamakazi as I have a Kia and it's very durable (that's why petri trinidad uses them) long lasting and low resale value but pain comes with after sales and service which I would avoid at all cost. Toyota all the way and the person that said 6-7 yrs without changing a part is correct.

If you all think that technology and reliability is the exclusive domain of the Japs I feel sad for you all as you are missing out on some pretty good vehicles at some good prices (in the new car segment).

I would not disagree with resale but that is a construct of the Trinidadian mindset and can change. (Dooesn't appear it would based on the comments in here where you all suckle at TTTL's Teats)

OP need to know if she will be keeping the vehicle 5 years or less. Or like me keep it 10 years +. This will affect her choice.

5 or less- you can buy anything.
10+ look for reliability.

Stay away from KIA Brand til. After sales service is terrible and a big rip off.
