so a fella PM me on this... so hold ah, OLD THREAD REVIVAL

Working Petrotrin is goin well. Advice to persons:

1. Do plant Operations at UTT not Trinzuela etc
2. Be persistent in Applying, some of use got through without links and connections
3. Get some experience in the Oil and Gas Construction sector first, if you can... it will be beneficial
4. Times tough, level layoff etc... Open your own business alongside being an Operator.
5. Dont be goin expensive stuff one time, invest wisely... PIMPING CARS IS DEAD MONEY..... gosh i wish i told that to my 22 year old self... LOL

He working there a few years proper afaik.

There is at least one apprentice on tuner. Not sure if the others are members.

It was a couple hundred people who did the evaluation, they took on 40 persons

I hearing some talks they would be takin on this year.

Petrotrin requires you more than the knowledge needed to pass interviews/exams etc..it really is a case of 98% who know you and vice versa. Even a few people who got hired by "no links" just happened to have a few family members in some really nice offices with pens that sign on the dotted line..lol. never give up cause your luck can be different!

The entire process for me took what, about 10 months??... but yea once you get called for Medical you 95% inside...unless you smoke some weed or sumn...

Almost all the contract workers gone. Only a few temps remain. Endless people retiring and no replacement for them.

I really cant say if its on a hold, maybe just delayed.
I know they hired some new guys not long ago but that was the last because they were short staffed..

If they not replacing men that go home maybe they really trying to lease it out.
