Over 20 hours now.. still no power in several areas in the East.

You are caller #43 and have to wait nearly 1 hr when u call T&TEC emergency lines.

What is frustrating is the fact that this was just high winds for about half hour and everything stopped.
We still cannot recover from something so relatively small?

You were expecting quality service here? Utility companies always fail in that department.

One big thunder roll, a sprinkling of rain and that's it, sun out here in San Juan. This new weather system changes every few hours.....

You mean where exactly... in Trinidad?
Because no where in this country is equipped to deal with anything

Almost 24 hrs now with no power in many commercially developed areas.
And the rains and high winds have restarted.

No word from government officials or updates from the media... No talks about it on social media.. Emergency phone lines unresponsive.

I now pass on the road at the side of the police station, river cross the road. If you can't pass you could come by me, you just have to share a bed with some dominicans.
