it's wrong to laugh at the injured or deceased...but then i don't think much of these would have happened with good driver training.

That highway is hardly straight for long stretches and you know most Trinis can't hold their lanes especially around a curve. Well not wanting to add to those statistics, I kept left and followed the posted speed limits. No need to mention the circus antics of the cars whizzing past me.....

Well, just got a call that someone I knew was dropping her mom to work and they go rear ended. She died on impact and her mom is in critical.....

Trinis head hard

R.I.P. Trina

Hearing they had just left home. No seatbelts(took for granted). My first thought when I heard both were thrown from the vehicle

The shoulder there is pretty wide and the wrecker looks well off to the side of the road. I don't understand how the man got into them. He had to be driving like a real fool.

RIP to the guy though. That real sad.

There isn't that much space between the truck and the left lane though... More than other sections of the highway but still not much.

Shoulder driving there is extremely common
Don't know why I this day we don't use rumble strips on the shoulders to deter these idiots
There actually are rumble strips near to the caroni exit northbound

That is not the first time someone ran into parked vehicles, I don't know if they get distracted while Maccoing or what it is. In the US ,you have to change lanes when an emergency vehicle is parked on the shoulder, why isn't this the law here? They only studying to make money off of speeders, it really isn't about road safety.

If the driver was changing lanes without seeing what's ahead on the left it can happen. We have seen it a hundred times on the road. Example: https://youtu.be/6-0E2Nxtm6o?t=10s

So sad and no need to be sharing pics like that when the families are feeling so distraught.

Exactly what I was thinking. Changing 2 - 3 lanes in one move and without see what's ahead in the lane they going to.....

Didn't a guy run into a parked trailer some years ago on the UBH near Mt. Hope?

the driver falling asleep makes more sense than the other assumptions given.
Very very unlucky. What are the odds of that happening? RIP.

R.I.P to L.O and wrecker man

being on the highway to even assist in a accident is real dangerous

a night me and some friends stop on the highway right after el socorro traffic light (east bound) to assist in a accident

it have a fire truck..police vehicles....ambulance...all on the highway with flashing lights

you know 20 mins after the accident.....a woman in a forester still come flying down the highway and ram into a police car....everyone had to run...police...ambulance ppl.....us....down to a victim from the original accident had to run.....

RIP to the fallen esp the L.O. despite his colleagues outfitting their private vehicles with lights and sirens to justify using the shoulder on evenings / southbound traffic
