Because the rich folk in that area are annoyed at the peasants who are being utterly intrusive, my friend.

But on another note $3000 for a parking ticket is MC fruckery. does anyone know any part of the capital city that have such a heafty penalty? $1000 for speeding but $3000 for parking. I think we need to boycott valpark and superpharm, doh even go down them people road let they put a bar across the road like all behind westmall that have some nice waterfront but we locals cant ever see again an yet allyuh support westmall and the white massa.

How could this decision be a war on street food? The notice is about the parking, not the vending (unless there's another notice out there banning the vending also). So doubles man, who is selling street food, should be good to go still. It's as hustla_ambition101 said, when Trinis only moving selfish selfish with their parking, this is the result.
most of the vending is done from vehicles, food trucks, vans etc. No parking would mean the foods trucks and vans also cannot park there.
I know the majority of the vendors operate from a vehicle, food truck etc. and park up in order to sell. Yes the decision will stop them from selling, but it only stops them from selling there. Since they can go and set up in another area, I still don't see this decision as the beginning of the war on street food. It might however be viewed as the end of the war on street food being sold in Valsayn.
In any event, when the authorities are trying to put order in a place (that area in Valsayn had little and was getting worst), people view that as a war on the vendors? Seriously? So what's the position of other people driving pass and living there? What should the gov't do when the back up gets so bad it prevents traffic from flowing in and out of Valsayn freely-leading to backups on the highway? What should the gov't do, when the parking is negatively impacting users of registered business places (Valpark, Superfarm, the private hospital, Gas station)
Superpharm and Valpark causes traffic as well though insufficient parking.
Valpark on a lunch time basically everyday and Superpharm on some evenings have so much customers that some park on Morequito blocking the filter lane. Should those two businesses be closed down or asked to move?
