Well they have to try, if they ain't complete the turn. It's gonna be a shame the great West Indies won't qualify for a world cup.

Carlos is a total waste...he can never repeat what he did against Stokes... If he doesn't perform this year...pressure next year

WI use their once in a blue moon luck to pull of the chase on Friday. From here I expect Pakistan to romp home unless their also fickle batting implodes as well.

In the tests I honestly can't see WI doing well with the Pakistan still to bring in Misbah and Younis Khan for their swansong series. They would want to go out on a high.

I cant see WI doing well in any format of the game right now! We need to get a whole new board of selectors and then we might see some progress.

WI made a 233-9

Lets see if they can defend it now. However by not winning all the matches in the series they not going to get 8th place and the automatic WC spot even with a win today.

Automatic qualification gone.
Now it's for teams from position 9 down to play a tournament to get the final two spots.

To be fair the Board doesn't play the matches so some blame has to go to the players.
And this ranking is based on the past 3 years which in that time for a fair amount of matches included a team that contained Gayle, Bravo and the IPL boys.

yeah but the board was very unfair to several players..I have not seen all the IPL "stars" featured in a starting 11 for ODIs...my ideal 15 man squad for ODIs would be

Gayle
Simmons
Dwayne Smith
Jason Mohammed
Lewis
Gabriel
Pollard
Bravo(2)
Badree
Narine
Holder
Sammy
Samuels
Hope/Walton/Ramdin
Russell

with a squad like that selectors would have a difficult time with the final 11...but the board doesn't see it that way. Sir Viv actually said it a few days ago

That squad is very bowling thin though.
The medium pace allrounders - Bravo,Holder, Sammy, Russell (Simmons and Dwayne Smith) do not have the same impact when they have to bowl 10 overs as opposed to 4. But then again international quality fast bowlers are in short supply in the WI so they might as well use the medium pacers. Not to mention if you place them all in the middle order you end up with batsman who all average in the 20s.

However I still feel the players have to have some level of responsibility for their performances and not always blame it on the board. If the Board affecting the way players playing then they need to stop playing.
