Mhtl made a really smart move all the employees that were sent home are still on pay roll they haven't received any monies for retrenchment or vsep..the 45 days notice period is still in effect....but these employees are home...and will be reinstated if gas is provided...

imagine, they know u was willing to leave, cause u applied for the vsep. then u have to return there..lol

the people retrenched in the first rounds last year, some of them may be willing to return. they should approach them and see if they could fill the spots of those tht accepted the vsep recently. and then if they can gt the positions filled, let the vsep continue.

but hey, what do i know about worker morale and having a dedicated positive work attitude...

As i said we hadda wait n see...but men will be over joy to get their jobs handed back to them....i dont think they gonna approach the first set of retrench worker due to the fact they were more of the trouble makers and this was the opportunity for the company to get rid of them...

With the volatility of the mhtl plants has supply in mind, any idea on how to source the contractual arrangement of the gas supply for the Mitsubishi complex?

The intention to see if they have any guarantee of gas to remain a stable employer.

That is a hard one, but someone I spoke to in the know said they (Mitsubishi) are confident of their gas supply.

lets see what is mhtl/ipsl next move bearing in mind that they have only gotten 3mths of gas for m4 ......all this speculation of them calling back ops to wrk .nb m4 was not one of the plants they gave as the reason for the retrenchment....

Boy this gas screwing up alot of businesses. Was chatting with a friend from Massy gas recently and did you guys know that is only one plant running and they barely have demand for that co2. They cut their staff drastically and still they running at a loss.
Also word in the grapevine is that alng looking to cut 150 jobs by june and that includes operations personnel.

this is very relevant. the civic has been the car of choice for plant operators for a while

First is d family and friends selection. Then the blindfold selection where they jus choose some out of d hundreds randomly and throw away the rest
