Attack at Maracas/St. Joseph police station.

Two men have been shot dead in St Joseph.

One of them has been identified as gang leader Kerlan "Miceman" George.

According to police reports, at approximately 3pm, George went to the Maracas/St Joseph Police Station to sign a condition of the court.

Police say three vehicles were waiting in a side road for the men to leave.

A Hilux crashed into the car as the men were driving off, causing it to flip into an empty lot.



Masked men then emerged from two other vehicles and sprayed the vehicle with machine gun fire.

As police ran out of the station, the assailants then opened fire on them, hitting one police officer as well.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment as officers went in pursuit of the shooters.

Up to late afternoon, the search was still on for the killers.

Police are searching for a suspect who shot a police officer outside the St Joseph Police Station this afternoon.

Information reaching us indicate that the officer, PC Lalchan has been rushed to hospital.

His condition is not fully known.

Police say a vehicle arrived at the station where the shooting occurred.

That story a little mix up. The two dead men were in the HiLux, the men in the car spray them and then they crashed into a Mazda?Ranger old model head-on and then flip the Hilux.

The car they crashed into the back of thehilux and the other two cars they jumped into were abandoned,and a helicopter was searching the area for them up till about five o clock.

Bluefete you miles away. This is past University of the South Caribbean and Acono Rd. Just before Waterfall Rd.

So the shooting did not happen anywhere close to the St. Joseph Police Station on Abercromby St.

I was worried a bit for all the children who might have been around if it was close to Abercromby St..

I know LaRue Pomme is close to the Maracas RC Church. That is a good distance inside Maracas, St. Joseph.
