I crashed at about 60km/hr and ended up about 50ft from where I fell with my bike sliding behind me. That's less than 20m. I can't imagine what his accident must have been like

I'm hearing the biker died. Not sure if true.

A motorcyclist was said to have died of his injuries after an early morning accident along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (CRH) on Friday morning.

According to preliminary reports, a pedestrian was trying to cross the east-bound lane near Aranguez Main Road around 7:00 am when morotcyclist Wendell Ford, who was heading in the same direction, swerved to avoid hitting him and lost control of his motorcycle.

Both men collided and were thrown several feet onto the highway.

According to unconfirmed reports the pedestrian was also said to have been fatally injured.

The police and emergency health services were notified and the two wounded men were rushed to hospital.

However sadly, Ford succumbed to his injuries after it was said he had lost too much blood.

Ford who was from Diego Martin, was attached to the Forestry Division.

The incident resulted in a pile up of traffic in the easterly direction which at one point even began at Port of Spain.

Thats what struck me in the photos. I was trying to believe that one of the bodies was not a walkover.
However the walkover is in the vicinity of Boundary Road and not Aranguez Main Road and the report said the accident took place near Aranguez Main Road.
