New Traffic laws coming to T&T

Postby Duane 3NE 2NR » October 13th, 2016, 12:38 am

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is advising citizens that come 2017, new laws will be implemented to effectively change the road system in this country, in particular, the way in which rules and regulations will be enforced.

While the new measures are still to be debated in Parliament, members of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch say laws against breaking a red light, the possible increase of the speed limit and issuing a demerit points system are on the front burner.

Marie Hull tells us more.

I for one welcome new and hopefully ENFORCED traffic laws, for far too many years have we been subject to the lawless and dangerous selfish drivers on our nations roadways.

well red light cams working 24/7 would certainly help with enforcement as well as if they utilized the speed cams too

most accidents occur during wee hrs of the morning when ttps home sleeping so if u know a camera could send u a ticket due to u speeding at 3 am it would definitely help
