Was quite surprised WI supported the two tier system.
With our current low position and poor quality of players a second tier would be a financial disaster with tours home and away to the likes of Ireland, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. I assume the ICC would have been pumping quite a lot of developmental money into the 5 teams in the second tier.

Ian Bishop and Michael Holding I believe are the best Men for the job....but if wicb policy remains the same we would be spinning top in mud. Wicb are just eating good coaches and sheiting them out.

For the Pakistan series, the WICB said the team would be under the supervision of former West Indies fast bowler Joel Garner, who is the team manager. He will work alongside the pair of assistant coaches Henderson Springer and Roddy Estwick.

Becoming real easy to not study/support WI cricket anymore. But then who to support??
Sub continent teams are all that's essentially...the Aussies are racist, the English too full of themselves, the Saffers will decline with the racist quota system, Zimbabwe shouldn't even be an international team and New Zealand ...well there isn't much to really say bad about them.

Pretty good read. Time has really flown because I didn't realize Sarwan's last test was was back in 2011 when he was still only 31.

Underwhelming in Tests, but superb in ODIs
S Rajesh
Ramnaresh Sarwan finished with a higher career average in ODIs than in Tests, which amply illustrates the format in which he was more comfortable.............http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/co ... 57221.html

So WI won their first 20/20 warm up match against an Emirates XI.
Pooran struck some form with an unbeaten 47 off 23 balls.
