I find those ridiculous also. ..but your particular weaving of these stories ranks high up there. Answer these for me, I'd like to hear your take...
1. Doesn't Jesus being resurrected kind of nullify the whole point of 'dying' for our sins? What was the sacrifice there exactly?
2. If our souls possess our consciousness, how come it doesn't take over when Alzheimer's and dementia start kicking in?
[/quote]3. If I know better, create imperfect beings, neglect to teach them myself (because the Bible should have come with Adam and Eve) how can I turn around and constantly threaten them with fates worse than death for stuff that I knew was going to happen, let happen and remained hidden the whole time?
brainchild wrote:Firstly, it's not death if you come back and visit friends after, so no real sacrifice there.
Secondly, I obviously wasn't talking about ppl who don't suffer from Alzheimer's which include ppl who believe in gods

Things that all the flesh desires make for good sacrifice in offering to God to initiate and build a relationship. Charity, forgiveness, heroism are also all good things which the God of this world respects and empowers those who are willing to make the sacrifice.

Well it's clear you made sacrifices...you sacrificed your common sense, not sure what you received in exchange though.

If u say so.
Dont worry, what i received in exchange was well worth it. As far as im concerned, i walked away from this deal a winner.

Lemme put it like this...if i have 6 billion dollars in the bank to use as I please, but 300 in my pocket. I see a family rendered homeless after losing their home because of a fire and proceed to dip in my pocket give them the cash and walk away. Does this make me the kindest man in the world?
A man cannot die, come back to life, rub it in everyone's face n then catch a direct flight to heaven, while telling everyone he died for their sins so they can have a chance to beg for forgiveness, die n stay dead till judgement then...maybe,just maybe make it to heaven. Not sure how all the people that existed prior to the commandments are going to be judged though.

You serious? So why wasn't the old body in the tomb? I never get why ppl run with these interpretations from priests, pastors etc. The book, in all its wild claims and contradictions never said anything about that, so clearly you heard that somewhere and agreed without question.

Luke 24:2-3 “And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.”
brainchild wrote:Just like you probably never questioned why a king would need his own version of the Bible, why were so many things that didn't exist in the previous version added to this new one e.g. the he who cast the first stone story. ..look it up. Why the old testament, after being burned when Jerusalem was under seige reappeared mysteriously in the middle of king Solomon's temple, found by Ezra a few hundred years later when no one could confirm if the information coincided with that of the original.

Read ACTS 1. And then tell me if Jesus' body is in a tomb.
