Bull, lack of gas has been a thorn in the Estate's side for years now. This is a cull, plain and simple.

Don't know all the details. Worker there who isn't an operator told me her boss, who isn't an operator, got a letter already. Mentioned 20 going from melamine and the rest other areas. 60 in total. All trainees going home since yesterday. Letters going to permanent people as well. Letters going to those based on performance appraisals as well as first in last out.

2nd Melamine plant projected to be offline for two years due to nat gas curtailment. Worded like that the laying off doesn't sound temporary but hopefully I'm wrong. I just speculating from the outside.

Workers are getting shafted all round.
When things good and profits high workers have to beg and companies use all kinda low down tricks to keep wages down. They always like to compare what the other companies paying and say they using the middle wages.
When things really bad it buss throat . Normally they use that as an excuse to get rid of useless workers.

Government workers not affected
