Need some advice on pinning up a cupboard

Postby 2311 » February 17th, 2016, 12:50 pm

Hi tuners I bought a cupboard, an I don't have much experience in such handyman operations. How to I pin it up I was gonna use brackets but a friend said just use screws an drill it up, Tuners what is the best and strongest way.

expansion bolts, but that depends on how well it's made & how the back of it is framed

Send some pics of the inside. Also, those pics look a little deformed. Depending on how it's built, the size and how the wall you are attaching it to is made you may be able to get away with screws and wall plugs.

drill holes through the solid pieces of wood in the back, they would be on the inside top and the outside bottom of the cabinet. You can either use screws and wall plugs or hit-it connecters( you can get these at any hardware)

Careful how the backboard is attached to the cupboard,
It may or may not be capable of holding up the entire cupboard depending on how the cupboard is built around it.

I had some cedar and mdf cabinets installed in my old kitchen

They were held in place with tapcon (concrete) screws for over 15years.

So you can try that.

I also used bigger hex-head tapcon on my new cabinets.
