np chaguanas is down again...sigh, can somebody from NP please show me how to turn on the compressor to refill the permanent tanks there, because clearly the attendants there have no interest in learning how to do such, indeed they would say it is not there responsibility and or is not part of there job description, why do patrons have to wait 3 or 4 days for "other NP personnel" to visit the station to do this....sigh. After the station cng tanks are filled and them emptied it just a matter of time before this insane process is repeated.

If you are doing a high risk job, it is better to get someone with accountability to operate it.

Given the increase in price on many items due to no longer being zero rated, switching to CNG in your daily driver may be a good way to save back that grocery money!

I have the honda city and i do about 150km a day. The only downside is that I have to fill CNG everyday, other than that and the small trunk its been all good.

Thinking about adding a 38 litre tank. I already have a 70 litre tank. Increased range and I only need to fill up once for the week.

not sure on my current mileage, but $14.50 of cng lasts me 4 days of commute to and from work, meaning freeport to point lisas. With the 70 litre I usually fill up on thursday afternoon after work, if I add the 38 litre I will only fill up once per week, I should get 7 days of driving on a 108 litre system, I just have to add some spacers on the back springs to cater for the extra weight of the 38 litre tank, not sure if I will go that way yet though.

I would like to mention something that I have noticed at both the unipet and np cng stations in chaguanas, people are filling up and then driving off and not paying, this was happening at the unipet station and also most recently at the np station in chaguanas, it is a downright shameful thing that drivers are doing, they recently had to put up a sign at the np cng station stating that drivers are being monitored by camera, come on people we need to be more accountable to ourselves and the owners of the stations, are things that hard financially that you can't afford to pay small money to fill up your cng tank. It is now normal procedure to lock the filling nozzles at the unipet station, if this continues then what incentive does the owners or government have to keep these cng stations up and running. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on you all!!

Other people paying $150 to fill up their gasoline tanks and because you have to pay a much smaller amount by comparison, you no longer see it as "necessary" to pay for your cng. That is just warped thinking. Appreciate what you have folks! They should set up a pay first system at the cng pumps, people are just taking full advantage of the lack of pump attendees.

That's trinis for you.
The workers have to pay for that out their pocket's and while it may seem like its a little bit it adds up. When I worked at the gas station many moon ago that was going on, everyone wanted gas and didnt wanna pay. Know how much time I get short pay and was $5.00 an hour back then.
When drivers do this workers will have a hatred towards people with cars and intentionally look for ways to sabotage them.

You can have a look at this local website to calculate savings for CNG over other fuels. Easy enough to use: http://www.cng.co.tt/savings-calculator/

Yes, incentives for CNG vehicles being VAT and motor vehicle tax free until December 31, 2018, were recently passed.

I save 17,000 per year on fuel by switching from a 50/50 super/premium mixture to cng.

$15,600 per year in savings for me. With recession with food prices going up that would be a real welcome savings.
