BB-8 is more suited to all terrains than R2-D2 ever was . The robotics gurus are saying that the surface of the BB-8 would not allow it to go through desert sands , well neither did R2-D2 . BB-8 is more credible in its performance .

Was an ok movie, didnt live up to all the generated hype ihmo.Biggest disappointment was kylo, was so lame when the promoted him as such a powerful bada$$,hell padawan anakin from episode 2 wouldve beat the hell out of him.Really liked fin alot more that i thought i would, hope they make a strong character later & not just another sidekick.

Great frickin' movie.

Minor issues, but nothing that takes away from the fun factor of the film. It's funny how obvious the CGI characters looked in the movie though, eh? Have it near, or on par with "Empire Strikes Back" as of now. We'll see if that changes when i see it another time.

I would like to comment on the Kylo Ren thing *Spoilers in my post!*

I think a lot of people down rating Kylo Ren because of that forest fight scene but he isn't as weak as people make him out to be, consider the factors of the fight:

1)He just killed his father , you can see he was emotionally struggling with that decision so he was already out of focus which can be seen by allowing himself to get hit by chewie's blaster.

2)we all know chewie's blaster is strong as fck so to even be walking or even trying to fight after being hit by it is amazing. In the forest you can see him struggling to move and raise his light saber while tilting to the right alot because of the wound.

3)Rey is no push over at all. It seems IMO she is another prodigy like Anakin. She flies the falcon for the first time like a professional, and she has pretty good combat skills fined tuned from growing up in the harsh environment in Jakku who also posses a strong affinity to the force.

If Kylo fought not being handicapped by the damage he took he would have slaughtered Rey.

Anyone else missed the obvious plot of how Hans and chewie just magically landed on the "big death star" at light speed....seemed a bit over the top for me....

Amm this ain't Star Trek yuh know. No need for a techy explanation like how man does beam onboard another ship traveling at warp speed while shields up.

Good points. Didn't think about how he just took Chewie's blaster hit normal. I also think Kylo is no push over. From the time I see blaster shot stop in mid air I good. I leaving d Galaxy. Imagine with his last bit of training in the next movie what he will be able to do....

He should keep on d mask though. Them ears be distracting as fcuk.

Pretty good review done by locals. I'm surprised we had the ability to pull this off.

Usually its a foreigner doing these things.

Even the Vatican was not too impressed with Kylo's Evilness.
I hope for the second one he truly becomes a monster, Darth Vader was scaryasfuck but Kylo Ren could potentially eclipse him. The light saber, the use of the force to stop plasma rays mid air was jaw dropping... He has a lot of potential... He just needs to lose a limb or two and some scars across that pretty boy face

Kylo Ren still a nOOb, but he has all the elements to make one helluva deadly Sith.....executing his father was the one act that would have solidified his path along the Dark Side.....Anakin got as far as slaughter of innocents, but it was personal grief that finally set him down his path path, but also made it possible for him to ultimately turn away from the Dark Side...the knowledge that he had kids rekindled whatever hope and good he had within him....I think Kylo Ren hs chosen a much darker path....he faced his final trial, and extinguished whatever good he had in him when he barbecued his pops

Force awakens and new hope same movie

Postby crock101 » January 5th, 2016, 11:19 pm

Anybody else notice this.same plot ,same action sequences, same climax , same deaths, still better that phantom menace.

Also Kyle ren is only a bad ass when nobody else in the room has a light saber as soon as anyone else gets one, he starts getting planass in he tail,by people who never even held a saber.

But Anakin had skills. If Kylo ren becomes a gangster it wud be an unnatural rise. Any jedi cuda cut his arse.
He will always be weak. He cudnt even pull d saber from Ray.

I suspect a lot of time to pass between the episode 7 and 8

It will open just after episode 7, but I feel we will see years of training of both 'Rey' and 'Ren' - when they meet again it will be the FIRST time we will see 2 MASTERS in their physical prime face each-other on the big screen.

During this time the rebel fleet will become the Republic fleet, and the First order will build a new weapon/s

Finally we may see some new tech in the star-wars universe - the prequels had better technology (which doesn't make sense) We should see:

-A serious upgrade to the X-wing
-Upgraded Tie fighters
-Other fighters besides X-wings (There are A,B,C wings yuh know boy J.J.)
-Poe Dameron getting a unique badass ship that will become iconic

Other things:

-"Fin" rising to a position of prominence in the resistance
- Leia dying from natural causes and passing on command to Fin
- Backstory of Poe (hopefully we see "Wedge" training him)
- Backstory of "Snoke"

Many things up in the air - just some thoughts I had - looks like that movie needs to be long :P
