So would this set up work or not?
that HDMI to RCA cable is in stereo, so no surround sound from an HD source.

no optical input. It's a onkyo cr 325 but I saw this on amazon. Sorry for the mix up it's not surround sound, different receiver I'm using (smaller set up)

my Pioneer receiver keeps cutting off after about 5 mins and sometimes doesn't power on at all.

Any recommendations for someone to check it for me?

Thanks.

Don't buy Bose speakers they are bad especially for the price. Klipsch makes much better speakers, this can be verified on head fi and avs forums.

http://www.head-fi.org/t/362633/whats-so-bad-about-bose

I bought the Denon D 340 audiophile headphones on sale for black friday on Amazon I must say I am impressed with it.

Anyone here tried bookshelf speakers without a sub? how great is the bass? are there any bookshelf speakers that is good enough without the need of an additional subwoofer?

I have been running a pair of nht bookshelfs over 10 years now no sub. Works well for audiophile however if you are looking at home theatre a sub is a must

190 to clear by air freight or sea freight? Those figures add up to 5900 tho. Did they have US freight as well?

Fellas I have a screen to sell.... I did a custom install and changed from a regular screen to an acoustically transparent one. You would have to build a frame and mount the fabric. The screen material was never used, it is new in the plastic.

PM me is you are interested. The size is about 10ft diagonal.

Recently purchased a pair of Mackie CR4's to upgrade from my logitech z623. Will give some feedback when I receive them, but reviews have been all positive. I may get an additional sub depending on the amount of bass I get out of them, some have said it's enough and other's say not really so will have to judge for myself. Didn't want to buy an additional amplifier so decided powered speakers is the way to go.

Check out the Vanatoo T1, these should excellent for what you looking for. A bit out of my price range but these are what I initially wanted and hope to get in the future.

Need someone to repair a Definitive Tech ProCinema 600 subwoofer :(

the kids turned up the gain on the sub right up and when it got signal it popped - now the green light is blinking red and the sub is not playing.

seems something blew.

any ideas who can repair this?
really not feeling to ship a sub back to the US for warranty.

Sell me it for $5 lol

If you can disconnect the driver from the amp, see if the light stops blinking, if it does connect another driver and see if there's output. I studied driver failure.

LoL I knew someone would calculate. Pete I didn't put in the Skybox shipping figures. The screen was US$40 and the projector was US$44. And it was by air freight (Transexpress).

Ordered last Thursday, received yesterday(Thursday).

I suspect driver failure, but I really did study driver failure...... As a cop
