Bulletin#
Date: Sunday 08th of November 2015
ISSUED AT:09:33PM
During the course of the night, Trinidad and
Tobago will begin to experience cloudy to
overcast conditions with periods of rain and
showers. Some of these are expected to be
moderate to heavy and will be accompanied by
strong winds, lightning and thunder. This
thundershower activity is due to the passage of a
surface trough of low pressure being enhanced by
favorable conditions in the upper levels of the
atmosphere.
Trinidad and Tobago will experience these
conditions for at least 4 to 6 hours from around
midnight. A decrease in frequency and intensity
of thundershower activity is expected after dawn.
Gusty winds are expected in the vicinity of heavy
showers or thundershowers and there may also be
localized street or flash flooding in heavy or
prolonged downpours. Landslides/landslips may be
experienced in areas so prone. Persons in the
affected areas are advised to be alert to the
possibility of roofs being blown off by the
strong winds, and for electrical discharges from
thunderclouds
Citizens are advised to be vigilant and cautious
as they conduct their activities and to pay
attention to the media or visit our website at
www.metoffice.gov.tt/forecast for daily weather
updates at 6am, 10am, 3pm and 6pm.
We wish to underscore that at this time Trinidad
and Tobago is not under any Tropical Storm
threat, Watch or Warning.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service
will continue to closely monitor this weather
event and will issue another bulletin if the
situation warrants.
