consider this my official review after having this service for the past few months.
service went down today again, from around 8:30 am and its now 9PM and still down.
after contacting digicel I was told their was a break in the cable and several customers in cunupia were affected and it should be up soon. I asked for someone to call me when the service was up. I waited until 2 pm and called for an update, I was told by a rep that they emailed me on the status. Now I don't have any internet so I don't know why they would email me with an update. Instead I provided my cell no. and they txt me to let me know the service would be up by 5pm. Its now 9pm and I just received another txt saying the broken cable has been replaced but they are still splicing.
This morning I asked again for a rep to be assigned to my account. Yesterday I sent a long email to digicel corporate outlining my issues. Last week I called in and left a request for a new rep. No response on anything. A digicel employee on the forums here even messaged me offering assistance, but no call from anyone yet.
and I'm on the digicel metro fibre connection, which is supposed to be their most reliable connection.
Throughout today I tried calling flow to reconnect my flow modem. Their PBX was down. I went on their fb page and sent messages, eventually I was contacted by a rep and had my service up.
So I'm using flow at the moment. I have decided to switch to flow permanently, it will cost more and I may get the same level of customer service but at least it would be less downtime

I go wait and hear reviews first cause I only recently pay flow $250 for installation. I was hoping you could get Digicel free installation and equipment if I took a 1 year contract or something.
EFFECTIC DESIGNS wrote:^ IF Flow starts to work good because of people switching to Digicel then I may stick with flow. But I need to get reviews from tuners before I switch. Need to know more about down time and disconnects with Digicel before I switch. If its the same problems like flow then it would make no sense spending $450 for no reason.
25MB is too much speed for me, 5MB is just fine. All I care about is uptime so lets see how well this works when the whole country goes online.

So if digicel's connection is crappy too what will you do?
