Be careful with those.
Remember MacBooks breathe via the keyboard.

never had an issue....
There has never been any air intake or exhaust vents through the keyboard on any Mac notebook. For all Mac notebooks except the MBP-Retina, both intake and exhaust has always been through the vents in the rear near the hinge. The new MBP-Retina has intake vents along the sides at the bottom and exhaust through the rear vents, near the hinge. This arrangement allows for venting with the lid open or closed (for operating in clamshell mode). There is a solid panel under the keyboard, preventing any meaningful airflow.

Mac notebooks: Operating temperature
The bottom surface and some areas between the keyboard and LCD hinge of your Mac notebook can become warm after extended periods of use. This is normal operating behavior.

To address any concerns you may have with the operating temperature, here are some suggestions for working with your notebook computer:
1. Make sure you are running the latest system software and have installed all current firmware updates. To find the latest system software, use Software Update or download system software and firmware updates from http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/.
2. Set up your notebook on a stable work surface that allows for adequate air circulation under and around the computer. Do not operate your notebook on a pillow or other soft material, as the material can block the airflow vents. Never place anything over the keyboard when operating the computer. Never push objects into the ventilation openings.
3. The bottom of your Mac notebook may become very warm during normal use. If your notebook is on your lap and gets uncomfortably warm, move it to a stable work surface that allows for good ventilation.
4. The location you are using your notebook should be within these ranges:
Operating temperature: 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C)
Relative humidity: 0% to 90% noncondensing
5. Make sure the AC plug or AC power cord is fully inserted into the power adapter before plugging the adapter into a power outlet. Use only the power adapter that came with your Mac notebook, or an Apple-authorized power adapter that is compatible with this product. The power adapter may become very warm during normal use. Always plug the power adapter directly into a power outlet, and place it on the floor or in a well-ventilated location. For more information see Mac notebooks: Using and maintaining your Apple MagSafe Adapter.
6. Runaway applications can cause the processor to work overtime and affect the heat level of your computer. For more information see Runaway applications can shorten battery runtime, affect performance, and increase heat and fan activity.
7. Spotlight automatically indexes the contents of your hard drive. This activity may increase the CPU utilization and your computer may become warm. See Spotlight indexing may make the fans run for more information.
Note that you shouldn't keep your notebook or power adapter in your bed or under covers as this doesn't allow adequate airflow.

Learn more
For computers with internal fans, the fans turn on automatically within a temperature range that is selected to ensure proper operation of the computer.
Mac notebooks comply with temperature limits set in national and international safety standards when used in accordance with the instructions in the user guide.
While there are third-party utilities that measure the temperature of a notebook computer, it is important to understand that these utilities are not measuring the external case temperature. The actual case temperature is much lower. Never use third-party applications to diagnose possible hardware issues. Instead, contact Apple or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Yes, no argument and they sell Sleeves also.
But the same logic that stops you from operating a MacBook in clamshell mode while in a sleeve, is also applicable when a keyboard cover is on.
These products offer some aesthetic appeal and minimal protection but they can impact the proper functioning of the MacBook.
Just use your judgement when keeping the cover on. If the fan is ramping up, pull the cover off and the system will cool down.
For me, depending on the task, I just leave the cover off until I'm done.

My iCloud was upgraded from 20GB to 50GB no charge. Just got the email:

We recently updated our iCloud storage plans and have increased your storage from 20GB to 50GB - at no additional cost. We increased iCloud storage so you can get even more out of services like iCloud Photo Library and iCloud Drive.

Your storage plan will automatically renew at 50GB on your current renewal date and your credit card on file will be charged $0.99 each month until you change or cancel your plan.

The amount you were paying now qualifies for the minimum tier which is 50GB.

I am trying to decide between iCloud and Dropbox but I am having a hard time deciding!

Suggestions anyone?

noticed the app was unstable after ios9 as well. A delete and reinstall of the app seems to have helped with me.

Question for you whatsapp web users on ios.

Are you able to view pics and vids sent as attachments in chats via whatsapp web?

On my iphone the chats and all attachments open fine. On my ipad, where I have whatsapp web running on Safari, I can view the chat messages fine, but any attached pics or vids in the chats remain blurred. When I tap an attachment to download it, I get the spinning circle in the middle of it for about 2 or 3 secs then it stops and remains blurred.

Better make sure it isn't a clone running Android.
Seriously, you should return it.

that's something that happens from cases that are in constant contact etc. Dust trapped can cause that. Or... if you're saying its flaking off... well... that's different.
Normally those marks can come off by using a really high grit sand paper (in the thousands)... but... i don't recommend it.

Any idea on how to stop this

Attachment:Image

My experience with the issue:
It only happens with postpaid Bmobile once the sim comes out.
It stops after a while.
I've never experienced it using Digicel.

The only thing is with Dropbox it's $9.99 min per month. ICloud is $2.99.

I'll have to look at the integration more closely especially with iCloud backups etc.

Apple recently upgraded their iCloud packages.
50GB is now US$0.99 per month. This is what I'm using.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201238
iCloud
5GB free
50 GB: $0.99/m
200 GB: $2.99/m
1 TB: $9.99/m

Dropbox
2GB free
1 TB $9.99/m

For iOS and Mac users iCloud integrates directly into your device and operating system making it easier to use. iCloud can be used to backup your device and pull images and videos directly into the Photos app on your iOS or Mac device and works perfectly with Handover to allow you to seamlessly continue working even when switching from device to device e.g. if you are working on a report on your Mac in Pages you can pick up your iPad or iPhone as you walk out the house and continue to work on it there without saving and copying files, same file version, no duplicates.

Google Drive and One Drive from Microsoft offer US$1.99 for 100GB, but don't offer the functionality as listed above.

got my ipad mini 4 to replace my lost mini 2.
Seems ok its significantly thinner and lighter, enough to be noticeable when holding it kind of like an iphone 5s vs a 6.
battery life is excellent i played infinity blade 3 for 5 hours flying back from new york and still had 70 something % left that is probably the most impressive feature to me,
my iphone died during the flight with no use lol and my mini 2 would have died also.

Really wasn't gonna comment until I saw this comment. WTF?!!! I hope you not exaggerating cuz that is INCREDIBLE. My air 2's battery would've been sub 50%. I hoping they keep this trend up for ALL of their current gen offerings cuz I decided I'll be getting the 6s+ for that new camera.
