^yeah, we went there a bit late but got 2 buckets for 120 (one was fresh, the other was not (used for chumming etc)

so the trip was decent compared to maybe the last 2-3 trips
mostly those silver salmon, shark and the odd red fish and a carite

worked our way to macqueripe and had 3 hits on artificial and landed one but after about 2hrs into the trip when things start to play.....myself, my cuz and a friend started to get some serious sea sickness...first time i vomit on a boat ( mind you we made this run before and was totally fine)

So the captain decided to try a few spots in the gulf which was mostly a waste except for the small sharks

^^^ lol, my first seasick ever was on the north coast too, a long time ago around Easter when we had to face some monster waves trying to reach the tracking station. Once one person start throwing up it triggers a gag response in the others.

I tell you the salmon around, hard luck on not being able to stay out longer.

Yeah, good catch. My father said the same thing about the north, never got sick on the sea until his first trip there.

i know i didnt eat anything after having to wake up at 3.30 am to orgainze and head orange valley for shrimp bait, so i am wondering if being hungry/gassy would have contributed because i have been off macqueripe before and razkal, another tuner and i went north from maracas already and nothing happened so i am curious....
I hope its not a fear/psychological thing now though

However, the captain said some strong ginger tea works wonders for sea sickness

lolol. I used to get real seasick until I used to be afraid to eat, that used to make it worse. It really is a mental thing.

I use a tablet called Bonine, I buy it off of Amazon, it is non-drowsy and it works. The only side effect is that I find myself always hungry so now I have to pack more sandwiches lol.

If the water real bad I use something called Motion Eaze, a drop behind each year. It kinda expensive but a bottle lasts years.

Gravol does work for me, only get sleepy with it if fish not biting.

Anybody know where down cedros or granville fish biting, only catfish in pt coco beach, not giving d bait a chance to soak.

Not sure if my muscles are sore (as discussed beer 4 since leaving la brea), did surprisingly well. 2.5 mile paddle for my first paddle in years. Unfortunately no catch, possibly due to my squid bait, the abundance of fresh live bait etc. ( Might break biche Wednesday to head out from the same spot...)

Thanks for the loaner rod holder/ dry box! Washed the yak down and flushed the inside, drain plug out till next time!

You guys should chum and freeline, might be more productive than spot fishing particularly if you don't know the structure well.

I chummed and landed a big ole cat fish, plus lost a huge gar reaching for the bloody camera instead of paying attention to boating it, I know better next time.
