Vinyl wrapping an entire CAR rather than painting it?

I thinking it will be better to paint yes. Especially if you don't have a covered garage, rainy season, bugs at high speed, someone giving you a small rub down etc. How long will a wrap remain looking good in conditions like that before needing to be removed and applied again.

^^if you get a decent one less than having to repaint your car, if a panel gets scratched, peed on etc you can just colour match and re-wrap.

most should last for 5 years + and hold up better than paint in normal conditions..bear in mind if you have and old rust-down Sentra neither paint or film will help keep it together

From what ive researched the matte last the least longest, than the gloss, as the gloss has a clear coating in it..

not true , you need to look at the amount of layers/laminates involved you can quite easily overlay a wrap with another wrap to make it last longer and protect the car...just some people scred to overlay a matt with another

they are all laminated or printed , just need to find the degree to which you want it look, feel and perform over time

What's a good vinyl as of late?
Been awhile since I been in on this.

$5k is a good price btw but is a set of lil boys charging $$$ to do half way jobs.
Might be a good idea to clear coat most wraps. Participated in a lot of wraps for vehicles over the years and many still on the road with the same wrap.

5k not sounding too bad , considering the price to paint over a car a completely different color would cost about 8k.
