Another +1 here for F1 Connect.
SD card slot went dead on my Retina MBP.

F1 did the repair under warranty and had it back to me in a week!

isn't it the same as the iPhone 5, 6 and 6 Plus cable?

once a lightning cable is MFi certified it will work even with OS updates

Apple guys, I'm just enquiring about F1 Connect. Are they a local company that does apple authorized repairs? And they honor apple warranty?

The top of it was popped out so she asked me to see if I can put it back in until I order the screen. So I was gna remove the screen from the bottom and reinsert it.. I used a suction cup and it completely separated the glass from the screen itself and the white part on the edge of the screen where the clips are.. Broke in half while prying it out and well while I'm pushing the pry tool under to remove the clip I'm seeing a silver thing idk what exactly it is.. I'm really scared to try remove it now. It's worth noting that the screen has already been changed by cell mates once and I'm assuming they used a cheap screen on it hence why this is happening cause last time I popped out an iPhone 5 screen it literally just came out with the suction cup.. Any advice?

Thanks a lot.. When I get the screen I'll post pics so I won't damage anything before I try opening it again lol

and dai y i fraid doing repairs of any nature to iDevices. Man call name yes
Could be either cheap screen or they just replaced the lcd and used the old frame and glued it on... i'm leaning to the latter as they *most likely* used a good lcd from one of the suppliers i mentioned.

That's kinda why I suggested the whole/full "kit" as IIRC the kit comes with the frame that separates out.

Also, be really careful of the order of the screws and how you take them out. they need to be put back in their original position.

Yes and yes. Found them listed on Apple's site, and checked them based on tuner's reviews in this thread.

I have posted this in the Flow thread also but because its Apple related, i though i may have some luck here as well....

Guys, I need some IT help, i have had flow internet for years and it has always been very reliable, i have had my Apple extreme router running off their modem with no problems, HOWEVER, last week i decided to give up blink TV and go with flow cable, the technician came, changed my wiring and my modem to a new ARRIS modem/router combo unit that he said i had to take with the new package.

Needless to say my internet connection went from sold to crap, it has been constantly breaking down and to top it off, i cannot get my Apple Extreme router to work with this new modem, so whereas before i had strong signals throughout my 2 story house and in the yard, i am not getting a good signal anymore, its weak or non existent downstairs etc....

The technician is supposed to come tomorrow to sort out why the data keeps dropping, is there anything i can do to disable the wireless feature in the new modem because bottom line, i want to re use my Apple Router which is far superior to the Arris.

What to do?????

Does the new wireless modem have an Ethernet port that you can jack the extreme directly into it?

I have the exact setup and had the same issue. i am just trying to remember what i did to fix it 3 months ago!

From what i can remember you need to first log into the flow Arris modem by connecting to it via an ethernet cable to your PC (I did it with a macbook air and a thunderbolt to ethernet dongle).
192.168.1.1 and I believe the login is Admin / Admin

Next switch off wireless on the Arris. Switch of the router and DHCP. Now the Arris is just a modem.

unplug the ethernet cable from the PC and plug it into the Airport Extreme. Now the Arris is connected directly to the Airport Extreme via ethernet. Open the Airport Utility on your iPhone, iPad or Mac and make sure DHCP is on. Then set the mode to "Bridge Mode".

You should be good to go there.

Basically what you want to do is switch off the router from the Arris, connect the airport directly to the Arris via ethernet (permanently) and set the router (airport extreme in this case) to bridge mode.

I'm not 100% sure on this but looking at my current settings on both devices these are the settings I'm seeing anyway.

Thanks Duane, I will give it a try and see what happens, it's hurting me to see my Apple router just sitting there....

Ok the technician came, he says he had to request that the wifi on the modem be switched off at their end which he did so flow killed the wireless signal to the Arris modem, I then connected my airport to the modem and did as you said Duane, I switched it to bridge mode and it works.

........But now it seems that I can no longer run a guest network because the airport is set to bridge mode according to my Google search......is there any workaround for this???

Try using drop box, all files you store in the app will automatically be synced to your computer. You can also use google drive

Nope, i don't think it works like that.
Only option is to tether your iPhone to your pc and share data.
