in the scenes with Sam and Gilly and the scenes with Sansa and Theon etc it was difficult to see anything!

Yeah the HD feed was real dark.

When I watched it over in SD, it was normal.

They really have digressed from the book story line haven't they.

Entertaining enough though.

season 5 episode 7 was epic - I need to watch it over a few times!

The Night's King looks like Darth Maul spent too much time on Hoth.

Is that young boy I don't trust. Olly. Could see the gears turning in his head when Sam told him about doing something for the greater good while sacrificing (not exact quote)

the only person Sam could rise up for is Gilly lol

Most of Snow's men were lost in the battle at Hardhome. When he gets back to the wall and Alliser blocks him there wont be much supporters behind the wall to overthrow Alliser.

The next thing is if the walkers are headed to the wall while Jon is being blocked.

Considering where Hardhome is in relation to Castle Black, Snow took the ships from Eastwatch to avoid the Haunted Forest. The walkers won't need to do that though and it seems a short trek from Hardhome to Castle Black. The walkers would already be in Storrolds Point and they look like they can move at a magical pace.

that last episode should strengthen Danny's claim shouldn't it? What hope does the Night's Watch have against that undead army AND the whitewalkers. Those dragons could be the only answer....

Why do they have to go through the gate in the wall?

good point, if they are sailing back to Eastwatch then they can just go on the other side of the wall

but in the preview for episode 9 they show us Snow and the Wildings and the giant at the wall on the other side of Castle Black

Maybe it's shorter to go that way?

Stannis came on that side of the wall too.
