Oh well I guess consider it a heads up lol performance is unreal though trying to get my ram to play nice though system seems to prefer 2133 to 2666 think I'll drop the OC down to 4.2 and run the ram at 2666 i hit 4.6ghz last night but it crashed after a few minutes don't think I need that kind of an OC on a 6 core though.

Almost all the video cards made within the last 3 years have display ports.

Sigh...

Duane. I believe the GTX 970 and 980 have 1.3. Also the R9 295x2 as well. Maybe the R9 290 and 290x. Because they were designed for 4k res. Usage. 120hz at 4k is nice stuff tho.

Actually all current cards support 1.2 even Nvidia's latest titan x. Next gen cards might support the spec tho
so the answer is "no, there are currently no video cards that support displayport 1.3"?

Nice,
I had 4.6-4.7 on my 3570k as a daily gotta be the most efficient processor I had the privilege to own.
Apparently 5820k are hard to get over 4.5ghz stable.
When will yours be up and running? What board you went for?

Correct, no current gpu's support it. 1.2 is enough to drive 4K @ 60Hz and there aren't any 120Hz 4K panels in existence or being developed atm. When that happens I'll move to 4K, but 144Hz 1440p is more than enough for me for now.

It's for 4K gaming you asking for or just 4K in general?

which is what I thought.

In other threads people are looking at 4K 120Hz TV's for gaming not realising that it's really a 60Hz panel with some motion smoothing to fake 120Hz. A lot of cheaper 4K TV's are actually only capable of 4K at 30Hz and only run HDMI 1.4

90 degrees at 4.3 GHz?

Nah boi jm3...something wrong.
I'm getting 77C at 4.3 GHz, with a 1.35 vcore (5820K)

Check that loop thoroughly. The only time I see temps like that, is if the CPU waterblock's micro-channels are clogged.

The fact that it instantly goes up to 90C is a clear indication that something is impeding the loop.

Samething with my 4790k. At 1.3v 46mhz it hits 90° instantly under load. I run it on auto(4ghz)@1.15v temps stay below 60° under load. I also have a custom loop with a 360mm x 60mm thick rad and a gtx 980 in the loop. When i first noticed the temps i googled it and saw that it was quite common on that cpu, if it is the same one ur using.

Exactly what read about Haswell I'm not sure if it's a false indication or something I just don't see how it could hit 90 instantly and cool to 40 instantly that would mean extreme wattage for heating and amazing thermal conduction to cool it.
To be on the safe side I went and bought some clear tubing and distilled water, I'll run a whole load of distilled water through it and shake it up to try and agitate any contamination out of the system,
maybe if anything it was sitting on a shelf for too long as it came pre-filled from swiftech,
I'll put in new coolant wanted to put in mayhems pastel anyway when I add my Gpu blocks next month.

Maybe there is a delay from the sensor on the chip so the software, given no reading from it reads it as max temp until the sensor updates it...

Hammered on the CPU for 10 mins to provide some info on what you should be seeing with a 5820K...

After 5 mins...

After 8 mins...

After 10 mins...

Back to idle...

As with everything else...your mileage may vary.
Not sure why you're seeing that particular type of behaviour though.

so looks like you getting the same temp jump but to a manageable temp. ill do my original plan to make sure my cpu block is not blocked and after that i guess wait until the thermal paste cures fully see if that helps.

The Race is Coming to an end.
By: rhiordd | 04-15-2015
After five years on the race track, Need for Speed World is about to run its last lap. The free-to-play PC action racer will be permanently shutting down its servers on July 14th 2015. Purchases of SpeedBoosts will be disabled as of today.

When it launched 2010, Need for Speed World brought together best-in-class action racing with an unparalleled social experience on PC. However, five years on, we feel that the game no longer lives up to the high standard set by the Need for Speed franchise. The steady stream of live content kept our players engaged but unfortunately we were not able to keep pace with feature development. At this point, the major overhaul needed to bring the game up to speed is not viable for us, so after careful review we came to a decision to stop development and begin winding down support of Need for Speed World.

We’re still leaving Need for Speed World on for a couple more months. If you have a balance of in-game currency, we encourage you to spend it before July 14th. While you can spend the currency you already have, we are disabling the functionality to purchase SpeedBoost, as well as the ability to register new accounts, from now until the closing date.

It’s been a great ride. We would like to thank our community for a wonderful five years. We’re grateful for the time we spent together.

Need for Speed World development team

Yeah, the jump in temp is normal, but it shouldn't jump all the way up to 90C unless there's a cooling issue.

In case you're wondering, I'm using a XSPC Rasa kit with a 360 rad...with Arctic MX4.

blue waters is just as fine bro.. i have that in a loop for over 1 yr now no issues.. temps consistent from day one..

but yeah, not good on swiftech's part.. also, i would put it up on forums with pics so others can know about it before they loose their hard earned bought parts.

Hmmm...It's a bit strange that a pre-filled AIO kit (even a moddable one like that 220x) would suffer from such an anomaly so soon in its 'life' though.

It's a good thing you could refill it and reseal it.
If it was one a them Corsair Hydro.....pain.
