WTK - Bees Problem

Good Morning Tuners, does anyone know who do removal serivices?

I had a nest of bees one morning on my porch in Piarco last year and the apiary unit put me on to a Mr. George (734-3663) from the Centeno field station . The guys were luckily in the area at the time and just sprayed some liquid chemical directly on the nest which immediately killed all the bees.

Hopefully the cell number is valid and this is of some use.

Why would you want to kill the bees?
That's possibly the WORST thing that can be done.

wasn't my decision. probably was the easiest thing for the apiary guys to do at that time.

Odd, I would think they would relocate the hive and put it to use unless it's something like africanized.

u wud think d ministry will collect d bees & take them to a hive somewhere or release them into d wild

last yr a hive landed on my store sign in front near d pavement , we called d ministry & they came about a hr after with a man in a bee keeper suit , dude pull out a can of normal household insecticide & kill ALL d bees , all of us were like :shock:

, bees were not behaving aggressively so unless we dont know something d man knows : why he kill alladem or if that was jes d easiest thing for him to do .....

Cant they tie their animals?

Anyhew, had a bee hive in an abandoned car, walked right in causally and took pics when they were collecting it. Didnt get sting.

Op getting a free bottle of pure honey every year dey.

The bees we come to know are really introduced though, european honey bees and their aggressive counterparts which came over from venezuela after escaping. Our native bees are actually stingless and really beautiful. The first gen indians used to utilize the honey as medicine, its very dark and rich but not as sweet.
