Hola extension for Chrome - view US content in your browser

Postby Duane 3NE 2NR » January 17th, 2015, 12:26 am

This was mentioned before in other threads but it has gotten considerably better at unblocking geolocked content

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ated?hl=en

Lets you access sites that only allow viewers from the US.

Lets you view youtube videos that are region specific. Bypasses "this video is not available in your country"

Access CBS.com and ABC.com

Strangely enough, recently with hola enabled, I sometimes get issues browsing tuner. Not sure why. I just disable it.

it's really meant to use only when there is content you cannot access. using it all the time will mess up your browsing experience. You will see US based ads instead of more relevant T&T ads. Searching for "restaurants" or just about anything in Google will bring up US places and addresses instead of those near you etc. if you use it on every site.

Great Extension. Been using it with Netflix alongside my Chromecast to stream content.

It is available for iOS but you only get a 7days trial then you have to pay. It's free on chrome.

I tried the trial on the iPad. It connects sometimes. But when it worked it was good.
