Is unit 410 or r134?
A 410 unit could run upwards of 130 psi on suction.
Installed a 410 some years ago and it had the same problem, just a little more gas and chill out.

wa kinda residential split workin with 134a padner?? i know is either R22 or R410a... 134a is for auto a/c ,chillers and freezers... anyhow with the leaking issue,as many tuners said...issues could range from 1- Evaporator unit is on a bad grade....units are usually installed with a slight grade towards the drain hose, encouraging drain water to run out freely.. 2-Unit is low on gas causing the evap to ice up, R22 operating pressure is anywhere around 68-75 psi on the low side and R410a low side pressure between 118-130 psi... In terms of "good units" i would recommend brands like Mitsubishi Electric (T-Mac LTD), Daikin,LG,York.. These units are a bit pricey. Cheaper "ok" units would be like Comfort Star,Serenity, Gree,Peake,Pioneer. Make sure that your Installer/technician is competent and qualified or you would have a not so good time dealing with malfunctioning units, icing up,leaking etc... hope this helps.

Inverter should be cheaper to run, not so?kripplerz wrote:I bought a 240000 btu Panasonic inverter about 4 years now, serviced only once about 8 months ago. The unit cools a 20x20 room. On average the temp is set on 23-24 and it cools the room quite efficiently. 17 is freezing cold not comforting at all. I'm quite satisfied with the unit and looking to buy a second. Bill increased about $50 average.

Most stuff made in USA are no better than ones made in China from my experience lots of garbage are made in USA, they have never stood out in quality.
The only country that stood out in quality was Germany and by an extent Japan, infact during the second world war the Japanese fighter planes "known as the ZERO" were superior to anything made by Germany who was considered the best btw. Say you bought a powersupply for a computer one made in USA and a cooler master V series PSU made in China.
Any PSU made in USA using US made capacitors would be inferior to a made in China PSU cooler master V series which uses 100% Japanese Panasonic capacitors. Location has no relevance, it just happens that products made in Germany and Japan often stick to a high standard but this could change at any time.
With that said, no one competes with the quality of Panasonic, even their TVs are superior to even SONY nowadays. Panasonic prides themselves in Japanese parts they use as much as they can. Samsung might have say a newer technology in smart TV than panasonic but they use garbage chinese capacitors for almost everything. Where as Panasonic uses more Japanese which is why samsung TVs will fail much quicker in our hot climate.
There is no company right now that can compete with the quality of Panasonic devices.
