"Satellite data indicate that the circulation has become better defined and the system is producing a small area of winds near tropical storm force," Brennan said. "Only a small increase in organization of the shower activity would result in the formation of a tropical depression as the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph during the next day or two."

Information Bulletin #1 courtesy the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Office:- 31 July, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Date: 31 July, 2014. Issuance Time: 10:30 a.m.

DEVELOPING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE EAST OF THE SOUTHERN

INFORMATION BULLETIN #1

WINDWARD ISLANDS.

At 8.00 a.m. today, a fairly organized area of low pressure showing good potential for further development was centered approximately 1040 km east of the Southern Windward Islands.

The system is moving toward the west to west-northwest at 25 km/h and there is a 70% chance of it intensifying into a Tropical Depression over the next 12 to 24 hours. Environmental conditions are favourable for further development. A Hurricane Hunter Aircraft is scheduled to investigate this system later this afternoon.

The leading periphery of this system is forecast to begin affecting The Windward and Leeward Islands on Friday Night into Saturday. Moderate to heavy showers can be expected over the Northern Windward and Leeward Islands along with isolated thundershowers capable of producing 4 to 5 inches of rainfall. Wind speeds with gusts in excess of 55kmh are likely.

All interests in Trinidad and Tobago are asked to monitor the progress of this system and pay close attention to information being issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services.

WE WISH TO UNDERSCORE THAT AT THIS TIME TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS NOT UNDER ANY TROPICAL STORM THREAT, WATCH OR WARNING.

Citizens are advised to be vigilant and cautious given forecast conditions. Please pay attention to the media or visit our website at www.metoffice.gov.tt/forecast for daily weather updates at 6am, 10am, 3pm and 6pm.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service is closely monitoring this weather system and will issue another bulletin at 6:00 p.m. today or sooner if the situation warrants.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
200 PM EDT THU JUL 31 2014

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A Hurricane Hunter aircraft has recently begun investigating the
low pressure system located about 550 miles east of the southern
Windward Islands. Preliminary reports from the aircraft indicate
that this system is producing winds to near gale force. However,
satellite images indicate that the associated showers and
thunderstorms have diminished significantly since this morning.
Therefore the low currently does not meet the criteria to designate
it as a tropical cyclone. Showers and thunderstorms could
redevelop later today or tonight, which could result in tropical
cyclone formation. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should continue
to monitor the progress of this disturbance as it moves
west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph, and watches or warnings may be
required for some of these islands later today or tonight.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.

SPECIAL TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
415 PM EDT THU JUL 31 2014

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

A Hurricane Hunter aircraft has continued to investigate the
low pressure system located about 500 miles east of the Windward
Islands. Observations from the aircraft indicate that this system
is producing winds of up to 40 to 45 mph in the northern portion of
the circulation. Showers and thunderstorms could redevelop over
the low tonight or Friday, which could result in tropical cyclone
formation. Regardless of development, winds of gale force are
likely to spread across portions of the Lesser Antilles beginning
early Friday. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should continue
to monitor the progress of this disturbance as it moves
west-northwestward near 20 mph, and watches or warnings may be
required for some of these islands later tonight or Friday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.

I dunno what I'm talking about either. I just wanted to know how you figured a low pressure system 500miles away was a dry one just because Sangre Grande didn't get rain.
