Guys need a little advice. I want to upgrade my S110 for an entry level DSLR. I'll only be using it for astro, pet and bird shots. Not looking to spend a lot of money, would the amazon price on the t3 be a worthy upgrade or am I wasting my money?

My Tips on shooting the Moon First of all we should remember it's lit by the SUN so it's bright also it moves , my starting settings are ISO 100-200 ( Just my pet peave I find that on my 7D ISO 200 is better than 100 ) f8-f11 I want as much in focus then SS around 1/1000 will then play with SS or F stop to get the exposure I want .

Oh. Not selling the s110 that will be a lightweight walk around camera. If that is what you meant.

The t3 package I am looking at is 500us for camera plus kit lens and 55-250is lens.

I am looking at the comparison and the t3 seems a better match for me except that it doesn't have spot metering.

Ask yourself this: harder than what? Quality SLR lenses?

Spot metering is useful, but not essential. I have never used anything but matrix since I understood the zone system and how the camera tries it's best to meter for best dynamic range.

Sansmiror.com is a great resource about mirror less cameras. I know a few guys selling J1 systems cheap if you are interested.
