AKIRA

Postby COROLLA KID » June 19th, 2014, 2:33 pm

Anyone who watches Animated Movies will know bout this one, Pretty much a top notched movie, one of the best I've seen,
Rumors are that Hollywood's been working on a live action movie for this anime for a couple of years now...Stumbled onto this Fan made trailer and it looks pretty awesome :D
If the rumors are true hope the real live action movie will be as good as this trailer looks..

Hoping for a live action adaptation of KARAS 8-)

If you bothered to look into the rumours you'd know the Hollywood movie would have been toots.

Pretty good trailer...but with all that talent, they could have made an original soundtrack and not rip off the audio from Deus Ex:HR

Some things are just better animated.

Liked the "look" of the live action though.

If i remember correctly, hollywood wanted di caprio for the lead & changed it to neo new york instead of neo tokyo.Thank the gods of anime it never happened.LEAVE IT TO THE JAPANESE ALONE TO MAKE ANIME ADAPTION MOVIES/SERIES!!!!!!!It should be a law IMHO!Already heard they are trying to make an 'americanized' BLEACH movie,it will hurt me to the bone if they really do it.

Kaneda!! Tetsuo!! lol, damn good anime! To be honest, I find the live action looks silly. Some stories are better left for the animation world.

True that, most live action movies cant touch the original animated movies like Street Fighter and Tekken but there are some that is made by the Japanese like Rurouni Kenshin "Samurai X" which was great, the sequel is supposed to be out already....

Ulyuh Akira fans aware the animation was a good adaptation of a god-tier manga and the nerd rage against the Hollywood movie was driven more by fans of the manga?

The Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers) live action movie was one example of a live-action adaptation done right.

Of course it was done in Japan, by a full Japanese cast and crew.

Some anime should be left alone, but I wholeheartedly agree that live-action adaptations of anime /manga should be done by the Japanese.
