Gotta hand it to Atleti. They've made themselves into a team to be reckoned with. Sux that their big star every season always opts to move on to a "bigger" club.

Oh well, till next season...Força Barça!!!

Martino steps down as Barcelona manager after losing La Liga title

Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino says he is leaving the club after a disappointing first season that ended with his team losing its Spanish league title on the season's final day.
The Argentine manager says he has reached ''an agreement to cease being the coach'' after Barcelona was held to 1-1 by new champion Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Martino was hired last summer and tasked with continuing Barcelona's winning era started by predecessor Pep Guardiola in 2008.
But Barcelona finished the season without a major trophy for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
Former Barcelona player Luis Enrique is expected to replace Martino, who leaves with one year left on his contract.
Enrique is stepping down as Celta Vigo coach after meeting with Barcelona last week.

Congrats to A Madrid. Wonderful display of organisation and team work trumping big name egos and stars. Barca fans showed class with the standing ovation too. Deserved champions.

We need at least two keepers and a high quality centre back cuz after after having a good look at Pinto, he have no business even being on the bench. I also believe we need a serious contender for Busquet's pick cuz Song is his only competition for holding midfielder, and let's be honest...it's Song.

Don't think we need any wholesale changes up front, just tightening up the defensive leaks.

Bartra eh bad yuh know, but he hadda get an experienced defender to wring he ears to keep him in check. Problem is Pique is the same way. So unless Pique settle down, I can't see both pairing up well.

In transfer news, rumours circulating that Luiz and Suarez could be on their way in and Alexis has the attention of Juve and Liverpool with Arsenal closely monitoring Iniesta. Unconfirmed thus far tho but you have to love Transfer season.

Bartra and Pinto will be forever remembered for how they contrived to make Gareth Bale look like a legitimate star. SMH. .. Again, waiting patiently to see some man size defenders signed.
