Looking to hit south coast this weekend, more of a lime than fishing but i'll take my long times and at least one rod. Haven't had time to fish these days but once the lime on is the beach i'll set the long lines. The rod for night when we're limin by the fire pit. Hopefully no sea weed otherwise its only long lines sat and sunday...

If u banking and using that size sinker go with ah one piece jigging rod, line class 80-130 and use braid if u fishing deeper waters so u wud feel bites better an get a better strike (braid = no stretch)...mankee on luis street in POS has a penn bluewater carnage jigging rod for about 790, which i use...there are other cheaper rods as well there...jus head down an dey will sort u out...

Going to do a lil overnight banking tonight. Went to get some bait in sea lots this morning, $120 a bucket!! Only one man had, like bait hard to come by still. I bought a half bucket, should be enough.

Soldier, down by salt jetty Thursday nite, more bait than you could imagine, the schools thicker than mud, right up against d shoreline....a boatman offloading people, even washing dem up on d shore.
Get a castnet and you good to go.... held about 15 cutlass fish, nothing else..
