Anyone randomly selling gear used? I'm in need of a Canon body. Was aiming for a 7D but anything around there would suffice. PM if you are.

Yeah spoke to him already. Budget can't really accommodate a new one.

Yep, happened to sb-600 as well, the xenons that got ordered was slightly longer so I couldn't zoom the head.

A nuisance to change but doable.

hey i'm pretty new to photography. have a canon rebel t3i that came with a 18-55 lens. looking online for recommendations for a new lens- the 75-300 seems to have the best rating versus the 55-250 but i'm seeing sigma lens that are significantly cheaper than the canon...any recommendations based on your experience? really looking for something to extend my range and considering a macro lens too. looking at price range about 200-300us...glad for the advice/input- thanks!

take a read through this thread of other user experiences here in T&T as well as other sites for reviews.

If you are planning to take up photography as a hobby you should seriously consider buying a Canon 70-200 f/4L instead of the 75-300 or 55-250. it will last alot longer and you will eventually want one anyway. So instead of spending the money now on a cheaper lens and then wanting the L glass later on, just get the L now. it might not seem like it right now, but trust that is very good advice.

Duane is spot on with that lens advice . However the 55-250 in my opinion is sharper than the 70-300 and that's why I got it many years ago . Each lens has a learning curve and does each body . So the time spent with each combination will give you better results . The 70-200 F4 IS USM is head and shoulders over these two lenses but as said before practice and learn from the best if you want to get better .

What's your reason for choosing either?

Well heard they're good starter cameras and I got a hands on on a D3100 a few days ago and really liked it. But I decided to get opinions from more experienced people
