xbone can't play 60 fps games. hell it can't even show in native 720p

Not to mention I've invested thousands on a rig and wheel just to play gran turismo. Right now the only next gen game I care to play is battlefield 4 because it's more than a simple graphical upgrade.

Bf4 multiplayer looks worse than ghosts multiplayer for next gen

Seems as tho they held back on the visuals to accommodate the huge parties for bf4 cuz it feels like 360 graphics still...campaign the graphics are amazing

Sound effects on the bf4 MP trumps that of ghosts MP tho

I on PS4 now and playing AC4 and Resogun. Holding out for Watch Dogs, Destiny, Infamous: Second Son and Driveclub in the coming months.

Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles are still considered "current gen" systems. PS4 and xbox one are still "Next Gen", because they haven't fully grown to the point where they are settled, PS3 and xbox 360 support are still active. Some people call the new consoles "current gen" because they are already released, but because the previous generation of consoles are not yet discontinued, they're still "current gen".

When the PS4 and Xbox one completely take over their predecessors, then they are truly considered "current gen".

ps4/xbox 1 = 8th generation (current)

ps3/360 = 7th generation (past)

ps5/xbox 2 = 9th generation (next)

to put it another way..

ps4/xbox 1 = 8th generation (current)

The PS2 lasted a long time after the PS3 was released, and it took a while for PS3 to truly be "next gen". At that time, the PS2 was still more widely used and manufactured than the PS3.

Likewise, xbox 360 and PS3 games are far more abundant than next gen games. "Next gen" doesn't happen immediately because they are released, it takes time for them to settle. Its a gradual thing.

As it is now, the PS4 and X1 are currently available, but are still termed as next gen due to the fact that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are still dominant in the console gaming environment. Anyone can call it whatever they feel comfortable with, but the fact remains. Look at video game blogs and reports, you'll notice that the "Next gen war" is still underway.

That being said, the PS4 is winning at the moment.
