Ashes returns to Australia. Well done by the Aussies, darn English were becoming too arrogant.

Ind vs RSA 1st test tommorow. Could possibly be the last set of matches for Jacques Kallis

Shivnarine Chanderpaul becomes sixth highest run-scorer in Tests

Shivnarine Chanderpaul has become the sixth highest run-scorer in Test history after posting an unbeaten 122 against New Zealand in Hamilton. The West Indies batsman has now scored 11,199 runs in 153 Test appearances, overtaking Allan Border's 11,174. The 39-year-old is now only 754 runs behind compatriot Brian Lara, who is fifth on the all-time list.

The Magnificent Seven
Sachin Tendulkar (Ind): 15,921
Ricky Ponting (Aus): 13,378
Rahul Dravid (Ind): 13,288
Jacques Kallis (SA): 13,140
Brian Lara (WI): 11,953
Shivnarine Chanderpaul (WI): 11,199
Allan Border (Aus): 11,174

"I'm just trying to take each game as it comes along and trying to do as well as I can," said Chanderpaul. It was his 29th century overall and his 17th unbeaten ton - one more than the recently retired India legend Sachin Tendulkar. Chanderpaul was keen to pay tribute to former Australian captain Border, who retired in March 1994, the same month in which the Guyanese made his Test debut..........http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/cricket/25460220

SA almost pulled of what would have been a historic victory.

They needed just 8 but match drawn

Was surprised Steyn and Philander didn't go for the win after being so close... they needed 16 runs frm the last 3 overs, only got 8.

but study how swann drop the bomb and retire just so in the MIDDLE of the ashes. but yeah, great game, steyn definitely could've slogged em to victory but w/e, smith wanted to play it safe.

With regards to SA going after the runs remember this is a Test. India could have had all 9 fielders on the boundary as well bowl behind the back and not be called wide. Hitting 30 of 5 overs would always be difficult.

^Difficult but not impossible, look hw Steyn hit that six of the last ball only for the crowd to start booing... but SA like 2 play it safe...if AB was there, he wud've gone for it!
